Multiple deaths in Monterey County; Moss Landing beach closed: sheriff

Fox local San Francisco live stream. My name is James Torres here. We are just a couple minutes past the 12 o'clock hour noon and we have a lot going on on this Monday and pretty much a lot going on all the rest of the week. As well, of course, elections, the midterm elections happening tomorrow, a lot of interesting propositions and amendments that we have to pay attention to. There's the governor's race. There's a number of races out congressionally, a lot of tight races locally to not just in the Bay Area, but down in Los Angeles and other parts of our state as well. And then there's a lot of what we're looking ahead to just today. For instance, in about a half hour from now, we expect to hear from the Monterey County Sheriff's Office about an investigation that they are working on down at... I'm at Moss Beach here and I have that picture that I want to show you that's in four. So let's bring you live there right now and show you. This is a picture from our SkyFox here, a helicopter that's flying over the Moss Landing State Beach. And you can see what looks like a number of detectives, investigators walking up and down the beach. Not so much the beach line, but a little bit of ways from it. And what looks like a ton of plastic cups, a bunch of other little pieces of items that are probably, Part of a party here. You see our chopper just giving us a little bit more context of where we are. We are on a beach down in Monterey County. That sheriff and their investigators are set to talk at 1230. Once they begin that news conference and taking questions from reporters, we will bring that to you live in its entirety. What we know so far, there are two people shot and killed who were treated by firefighters on the scene, pronounced dead at the scene, a third person taken to the hospital. We do not know the circumstances or what led up to all that. The sheriff's office and some other first responders in the area did mention there's no threat to the public, so it doesn't seem like they have a suspect they're looking for, if you will. But, of course, those details will be coming to us a little bit more concretely in the next 25 minutes, 30 minutes or so, once that news conference gets started. We'll have a crew there. We will bring that to you. All right. What else do we have going on? What we have to talk about here? We know Steve Hilton, a gubernatorial candidate for, of course, the state of California. He's going to be continuing on his campaign today throughout the state, hoping to gather some last minute votes ahead of the election tomorrow. Javier Becerra.
