We're still talking about Halloween around here,
but just so you know which looks really got people going.
And one of the people whose costume left people with a bit
of a bad taste in their mouths is Martha Stewart.
There's also an update on the Dolly Parton Museum as one
of the late singer's family members was just fired from it.
So let's talk trending topics
with entertainment contributor Miss Shyneka.
Good morning. Great to have you with us.
Good morning, Alex.
How are you?
I'm great. How are you?
I'm great.
I'm ready to roll. It's Monday.
Let's do it.
So let's jump right on in and start talking about
the queen of Halloween, Heidi Klum.
She said her costume was going to be gory and she did not disappoint.
She did.
She had a few teasers and we knew it was going to be gory,
but not this gory.
I mean, this prosthetic hand, it was eight
feet tall, first and foremost.
Did you see how when she pulled up,
it was like a makeshift ambulance, but it was a box
truck and they had to like basically, yeah,
they had to get her out of the back of the
box truck, but it is her actual replicated hand and it is.
I was just like, how is she going to walk?
Anyway, so I guess she didn't have
a hard time after she got out of the truck with her look.
And then the fact that she
was doing interviews dressed like a severed hand.
This is her 25th year of having this big Halloween costume party.
It's always star-studded.
I mean, she's been everything from E.T. and you named some earlier.
The Worm, the Peacock.
Medusa.
Yeah, she's been everything.
Yeah.
Yes, and so I think this one is the top one for me.
Look at the gore.
It's the fact that the other fingers can move too.
And then the little face that she snuck in there.
Exactly.
She didn't have to do that.
Who made this?
I mean, who did this?
It was absolutely incredible.
I mean, she out-thought everybody in this.
She did, and she included the ring too.
A nice little touch.
She won two rings.
Okay, let's talk about someone
who isn't being as applauded for their costume, Martha Stewart.
Yes, Martha. Okay, 85 years old.
I think we know better than to do what you did.
Okay, so Martha Stewart, she posted a picture of herself for Halloween.
And she looked disheveled, right?
And she had on torn clothes. It was a hot mess.
She had a sign in her hand.
And the sign said, I am hungry, help me, all right?
And then under the, her caption read a promotion
for some candles that she's gonna have on QVC.
And the people went crazy on 85-year-old Martha Stewart.
They claimed that she was being insensitive
to homelessness and trying to poke fun.
And they went.
And on her, but then she came to her own defense
and she said that she was trying to make awareness
of homelessness, but don't you think someone
would have put it in their caption if they
were trying to raise awareness
and then have some kind of proceeds or, you know, promote
some kind of shelter, like something,
but I feel like that was not her intent and the
people let her have it.
So she ended up...
Posting it and deleting it,
and then she started posting old Halloween pictures of herself.
Well, at least she did that much, question mark?
No.
No, at 85, you know to do better than that.
That was just very insensitive of Martha Stewart.
And I love Martha Stewart.
Sure, a lot of people do.
I just, I can't believe she did that.
Yeah.
I wonder, though, if people feel better about the fact
that she removed the post in the first place.
Yeah.
Because some people stand ten toes down on it.
Okay.
Which is why I say, question mark.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how people feel about it.
But how could that be a Halloween costume, yeah?
You know, it's someone's life trajectory,
and they're going through a hard time, so
I just don't see the light.
In being that I've actually never seen anyone dress up like
a homeless person for Halloween.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, let's talk about Dolly Parton's museum
and how a family member of hers was just fired from it.
Oh, Lord.
Now, this is a lot.
Okay.
Rebecca Seaver, which is Dolly Parton's niece.
She has been fired from.
The museum just opened up on September 29th,
and she was fired October 29th.
They are not citing any cause of her firing, but Dolly Parton's estate
let her go along with her staff that she had working at the museum.
And, you know, it's just off the heels of her brother,
Brian Seaver, being fired.
And he feels that it's an unjust firing.
He was the chief security for her company
and now he is in court proceedings because he's trying to sue
and challenge the estate right now. So I don't really know.
I mean, it's kind of hard if you're the if you were the head
of her security, you know, to still have a job. And, you know, she's.
unfortunately passed away.
So, I mean, hopefully they figure out some kind of compensation for him
because I'm sure that's what he wants. Yeah.
But the, but Rebecca being fired is just kind of
crazy. No. And Dolly was so big on looking out for her family members
and making sure that they
had a little bit of her pie, if you will.
So it'll be interesting to see if they ever come
forward with a reason as to why her niece was fired.
Yeah. I hope they, they figure that out
Because, you know, the fallout and how she was with her family.
how private it is,
her regard isn't being respected in such a manner as her life was.
