Pet of the day: Simba

Time now to meet our pet of the day, thanks to, we got Marie, Vince, and Becca here with Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta. They're joining us to tell us a little bit about Simba. Simba is a five-year-old male. His fifth birthday is next month. He's been neutered. He is a field golden. That gives him the reddish color and the blockhead. He's full of energy. He's full of energy. He needs a family that is active. Preferably not young children with a fenced in yard so he can get lots of exercise and he is just loving. He's just a wonderful dog. He is. And has such a gorgeous coat. I mean, my goodness gracious, we're in fall, but he's like the perfect dog to kind of run through those leaves, I can imagine. He is. And he, as soon as he got on the set, he just came and said hello to everybody. So I'd imagine that he's probably really good with families. He's good with families. He's not young children because he's so big. He knocks them over. And he's not necessarily good with other dogs. It depends on the proper introduction. Okay. So he would be great as an only dog or introduced properly. And then also, too, you guys have a trainer here. So talk a little bit about that. This is Becca's with Rucker. So Simba has been in training. Fine-tune his manners, and the training classes will go with when he's adopted. So they can continue training both the owner and the dog, which is a wonderful advantage to have. That way you can fine-tune him or if you need to work on something. Yeah, and we don't have much time left, but I want you to tell us about that event you were talking about before. We have Santa Paws this Saturday at Moon Dog Growlers on Nandina. In Dunwoody, and it's from noon to four, and it's a great way for, I was going to say leashed children, well-behaved children and dogs on leashes to come have their pictures made with Santa Claus. And it's a $25 donation to Golden Retriever Rescue. Awesome. We'd love to see everybody and you will get digital pictures to use for the holidays. Yeah. So so keep those kids in line if you're going right. All right, guys, to fill out an application for this beautiful dog, you can visit GRRA.com or go to Fox 5 Atlanta dot com and navigate to the good day section and just click on pet of the day.
