All right, get ready. Ball Hall of Fever about to take over the streets
of San Francisco. The Valkyries, fresh off their first WNBA title,
will be celebrated with a championship parade
on Wednesday right there along the city's Embarcadero.
And that is where we find tonight.
Zach Sauce, live with all the details. Big day on Wednesday, Zach.
Yeah, Mike, a lot of excitement for this one.
They already have the banners hung along the Embarcadero
where the Valkyries will parade down the street and be celebrated.
It all starts here at the city's Ferry Building on noon that day.
After rocking Valhalla with a historic WNBA championship,
San Francisco gearing up to feast
the Valkyries with a parade to be remembered.
I'm going to be there.
I'm going to be there for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Nestor decked out in his Valks gear
at the city's historic Ferry Building
24 hours after the team took home their first title
in only their second season in existence.
Wednesday just steps away.
The squad will make their way down the Embarcadero along the bay
with throngs of fans lining the street.
Yeah, I'm going to wear the merch, man.
For the Valks, the day will start across the water in Oakland.
The team is expected to hop a ferry
and arrive in SF at the Ferry Building
for the start of the parade at noon,
where they'll pass prime seating at Perry's Restaurant.
Congratulations to the Valkyries. They deserve it.
Truth be told, Vida, originally from L.A., roots for another squad,
but it's hard not to love what this team has done.
I'm a big Sparks fan, but...
I love the fact that the Valkyries won,
it really represents San Francisco, represents
all the women.
Even folks just becoming acquainted with the team,
overcome with Valks fever.
We're visiting from New Zealand,
and generally not a basketball fan, but after watching that,
I feel extremely fortunate
to have stumbled across such an incredible team.
Joining the Valks on the parade route will
be Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee, San Francisco
Mayor Daniel Lurie, and San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan.
They'll pass by local watering holes.
High Dive before wrapping up a few blocks away
from the team's home court, Chase Center
at King and 2nd Street.
We're going to be open at 9 a.m., beers,
brunch special, lunch special, and fun row seats
to the parade.
But you better get there early
because the turnout expected to be immense.
It's really great that it's like women
are the ones bringing a big crowd into the city.
And as far as this crowd is concerned,
there's hands down no better place to catch the action.
This is the best spot, man.
Plus, probably only bathrooms within like 300 yards in any direction.
And to kick things off, Finals MVP Gabby Williams will beat the Golden
State Valkyries drum along with San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie.
Again, it all kicks off Wednesday here at noon, wrapping up at 2 p.m.
Mike?
I agree.
High dive.
Great spot to pull up a chair and watch that parade.
