Canada defeats U.S. to claim FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup women's title in El Salvador

No transition offense for the Canadiens, so they will get it reset up top. The Ploof sisters off the handoff. Wet ball from Ploof. Nice tip there, but Johnson couldn't finish off the play. I can't. Cat is a predator. She'll hit it from long range. Croson taking advantage of an open lane. They'll find Croson over their rivals. United States, who will get silver this year after taking gold in 2025. Michelle Klug returns and finds herself in the winner's circle. Out of retirement and onto the podium. Above them all, congratulations to the ladies of Team Canada. Cassie Brown, Paige Croson, Kat and Michelle Klug. Michelle leads the way again. Nine points for her, five from her sis, and three apiece from Brown and Croson. That decides the women's tournament.
