The 49ers and Vikings had a Trade in Place for Jauan Jennings and He Nixed It
Nov 1, 2026
Jay Glazer just dropped a bombshell on the NFL Fox pregame show.
He said that the Niners
and the Vikings had a trade agreement in place for Jawan Jennings,
but it fell through
because Jennings doesn't want to play for the 49ers.
It was contingent apparently
on a FaceTime call between Jennings and Kyle Shanahan and
John Lynch.
I guess they had bad blood from what happened
the last couple of years and Jennings didn't
want to get on the call and ultimately.
He would rather stay in Minnesota
and do nothing than get traded back to the 49ers,
which is a shock to me.
I mean, he's not doing anything over there.
He was featured over here.
They need him.
They'd play him.
They'd throw him the ball.
He cried the last day he was in the Niners
locker room talking about that's where his
career started and he wanted to keep it going there.
I don't know what happened, but this is embarrassing for the 49ers.
This was your solution to your wide receiver problem.
Mike Evans gets a Achilles tendon
It's okay.
We'll just get Jawan Jennings back.
I mean, I floated the idea.
It seemed like an easy, cheap solution,
and you can't even get that done?
And this is all because you blew it, Brandon Aiyuk.
You blew it with your first-round pick this year.
You drafted De'Jon Stribling when you could have taken Omar Cooper Jr.,
Denzel Boston, who are really freaking good and healthy.
Now you got to go get Garrett Wilson.
You got to go get Garrett Wilson.
No excuse.
You got to trade your first round picks
and admit that you got it wrong
and you've been bungling this position for years.
Go get a serious wide receiver,
but you won't unless Jed York makes you.
And I'm talking to Jed York right now.
Jed, make them.
