And we are counting down. The midterm's now just two days away,
and early voting has already wrapped up across the DMV region.
Today is the final day for residents in D.C. to cast their early votes.
Now, ballots can be taken to an early voting center by 7 p.m. tonight
or taken to any local Dropbox location by 8 p.m.
On Election Day, if you're voting by mail,
it also must be postmarked on or by Election Day
and be received the 10th day after the election.
That would be November 13th.
Now, D.C.'s early voting polling hours today are 8.30 a.m.,
coming up in just a short amount of time,
and that will run until 7 p.m. tonight.
As long as you were in line by closing time, you can cast your vote.
Meanwhile, all eyes on those battleground states
with just days to go before the midterms today.
President Donald Trump will be rallying in Iowa and Kansas.
Now, Trump had previously canceled
those rallies, but now they're back on.
Both states have competitive Senate races, and early voting there
is up about 30% from last year's midterm election.
Now, the drama is brewing right now in Michigan.
That is where Democrat Abdul El-Sayed
and former GOP Congressman Mike Rogers are locked in a tight race.
for michigan's senate seat. now some democrats
are concerned about infighting in their party
over israel between el sayed
and democratic congresswoman haley stevens. now she had lost
the primary to el sayed. she recently called him out
on his positions on israel. his campaign in turn
asked stevens to stay away from a planned rally.
Donald Trump is not himself the disease
of our politics, he's the worst symptom of the
disease of our politics.
Yeah.
The disease is the system that allows corporations,
billionaires, special interests
to buy and sell politicians in ways
that leave them rigging the system against us.
And here's the thing, if you do one more call,
one more text before you go to bed, just make
sure you think about, okay, this is not for me anymore.
This is bigger than Christie and I, this is even bigger than Michigan.
And this is about the future of the country.
Michigan is very well one of those states
that could decide control of the Senate.
Remember, we are going to have complete election coverage here
on Fox 5 all day Tuesday.
Our special coverage is going to begin at 7 p.m. on Fox 5 and,
of course, streaming on Fox Local.
Let's head overseas right now.
This is a live look at Tel Aviv, Israel this morning.
That is where massive crowds are hitting the streets,
calling for a major shift.
That's because thousands of demonstrators
are gathered to demand a new Jewish-Arab
coalition government.
Now, last night, following Tuesday's election,
the results left Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's
party with diminished seats in the Knesset.
That's the legislative body of the Israeli government.
Protesters are also rallying in support of Netanyahu.
Debates continue over
who will form the country's next governing coalition.
I will call right now in order to change the reality of this place.
If we want to form a coalition
and to translate our victory in the elections into a government,
it must be a government of both Jews and Arabs together.
Well, the final election results show that Netanyahu's bloc fell short
of the needed 61 seats for a majority in parliament,
winning only 53 seats in Tuesday's election.
The G20 summit in Atlanta wrapping up this weekend with top diplomats
discussing key global security issues, a major topic, of course.
Russia's war with Ukraine.
Now, the U.S. recently waived sanctions over Russian diesel fuel,
but also approved a $2.1 billion sale
of Patriot air defense missiles for Ukraine.
However, foreign ministers did not reach a consensus yesterday,
and so far no agreements have been made.
So I think really the challenge for the Quad is...
We can have meetings, but turning those meetings
and the things we talk about into concrete actions,
and I think we're building really good momentum.
And I think, hopefully, when our leaders meet in November,
they will be able to announce some more concrete steps.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio's comments come
as residents from a Russian-occupied city in Ukraine
have been forced to evacuate.
The ceasefire deal was brokered by First Lady Melania Trump.
I have another live look for you over at the White House this morning.
That is where there is a new lawsuit over
President Trump's plans to build an arch
in front of Arlington National Cemetery.
Now, opponents say that this massive structure
would overshadow historic landmarks,
but the administration says it would honor America in its 250th year.
As Fox 5's Regina Yurita tells us,
the courts could decide if the project starts or stops.
Well, President Donald Trump says
his proposed Triumphal Arch would serve both as a tourist
attraction and a military complex that would store drones
and ammunition. And of course,
that's adding to the controversy.
Now, the arch would be directly across from Arlington Cemetery
and located near a busy traffic circle
that is now in the center of multiple lawsuits.
But tonight, Virginia and D.C. filed
a joint federal lawsuit against the National Park Service
