Pretty good Halloween weather-wise.
We'll take rain instead of snow.
Yeah, exactly right.
And, Mike, I'm always amazed whenever I'm reminded every year
that technically Halloween,
I believe you said, is the average first day for snow.
Yeah, and we've had some decent snows on Halloween, too.
And so yesterday was kind of a walk in the park.
A couple of sprinkles here and there,
but I think the trick-or-treaters were able to get business done.
Good morning, everybody.
Welcome to November.
Here's what you've got for Nov 1.
Warmer than normal. Nothing new there.
We are on a run of warmer than normal days. That is not
going to end this week. 59 at nine. Couple showers.
I'll show you the radar here in a little
bit. At noon, cloudy and mild.
I think most of the rain will be out of here by then. Just a small
chance of an afternoon shower.
I really think it's just going to be mainly cloudy. Temperatures
getting up in the mid-60s when mid-50s are normal.
And now that we have set the clocks back,
it is lighter early in the day. We have mostly cloudy skies.
in O'Hare 53 degrees. No real wind.
to speak of. We just closed the books on October.
The average temperature was 60.8 degrees.
That is the sixth warmest October on record.
Here's what you've got now, 54 at Midway and Joliet,
51 at Woodstock, 52 at Gary,
50 in Valparaiso and Michigan City, in La Salle, Peru it is 54.
A little bit of light rain, it's all patchy and spotty and light.
Have an umbrella or a raincoat with you this morning if you're out
and about, but it may not rain on you at all.
64 degrees for the high today, showers mainly early afternoon hours
if there's anything out there it's going to be really sparse.
Tonight, mostly cloudy and mild, 54 degrees,
which is close to the normal high this time of year.
Now, it does stay unsettled much of the upcoming week with,
I think, Tuesday, Election Day,
and Wednesday featuring the warmest days of the week
and also likely to be the wettest days,
but it won't be raining all day long on Tuesday.
I think the afternoon and evening hours may have
the bulk of the rain turning a little bit cooler,
but still warmer than normal by next Saturday.
Back to you, gentlemen.
Thank you, Mike.
