Oklahoma State tonight is a really interesting spot.
Iowa State just missed out on making the card for me.
This is a big number for them to lay on the road here, Oklahoma State.
But I had to kind of tip the cap
to the level that Mastemaker's playing at.
Made me some money last weekend covering against Colorado,
there was a poll put out today that Mastemaker right now,
by the end of the season, has QB1 in this draft class.
That poll has created some morning market movement
in terms of the first overall pick.
Mastemaker, half the price of C.J. Carr
and his plus 210 compared to the other quarterbacks
not named Carr at plus 450.
Ments at 12 to 1, Chambliss 14 to 1, Manning 16 to 1.
The NFL takes their stands on these things here, Dave.
And, you know, I guess probably for you a little extra.
Interest as a Dolphin fan,
the Mastemaker QB1 buzz is starting to hit a fever pitch.
It is.
I'm already against draft talk in October to begin with.
I just, it did bother me.
I covered the draft enough in April
to not have to deal with it in October.
And then you add the Dolphins playing
in play for the number one overall pick.
And that adds double because you have your family
and your friends and your college roommates
all texting you, hey, Mastemaker number one.
Last week, it was Eli.
And the week before was Jeremiah Smith.
And it's like, it's October.
Let the season play out.
This time last year.
Arch Manning was going numb, number one.
And then Carson Beck was going...
Remember Carson Beck was number one overall pick
for about five hot minutes?
Like, it's October.
I get it.
Mastemaker has looked great.
I would probably want Mastemaker before I wanted Arch.
I still want Jeremiah Smith.
But it's October.
Let the season play out.
We got pro days.
We got combines.
We got film to watch.
I get text messages and tweets and DMs all the time.
Who do you want the Dolphins to take?
The Dolphins don't even have the one pick yet.
Who knows what happens?
Mastemaker looks great, no doubt.
But, like, the fact that there's
a poll question on it tells you how much
and how important the NFL draft is to people that we're doing.
Mock drafts in October, but again,
Carson Beck was number one overall pick a year ago,
so take it for what it's worth.
Yeah, the MestaMaker stuff is legit.
I think one of the big edges for MestaMaker in the market
is lack of clarity as to who's actually going to lead.
We're seeing it with Manning.
There's buzz around CJ Carr coming back,
and if Notre Dame don't win the national championship,
This isn't like an Irish...
I'm not hoping Carr comes back,
and so I'm just trying to speak it into existence.
I have no bearing on that.
I think there's a chance that CJ does come back.
I do think that there's a balance to find.
Dante Moore made a mistake.
We said that before the injury, okay?
There's a balance.
But for some of these kids,
if it's on the cut line, man,
getting more reps in college is good.
Now if someone tells CJ Carr
you're going to be a top-ten pick,
he should go.
He should go.
And I think CJ Carr's worked that.
But, you know, for MestaMaker, he knows right now.
He knows today on Top 10 Picks.
He's going to go.
He's going to go.
