James Kaufman, World News Report today.
Ladies and gentlemen, we've been having an earthquake swarm
in between the Lesser Antilles Islands
and a major plate boundary you see here.
Now, there's some conflicting information
that we're going to have to go over.
The USGS has a 6-5 here recorded, as you can see,
and this is going to be just north of the volcano Pele.
If y'all ever heard the Edgar Cayce forecast of Aetna
and Pele going off, and then the
U.S. losing the West Coast within 90 days,
well, we're real close with this much magma
movement in the area.
So a 6.5 is what we first saw, and then we saw
a 6.0, so part of the same swarm here.
I counted seven substantial earthquakes within this swarm.
However, the USGS does not seem
to be reporting one of the earthquakes
that's just outside of the plate tectonic boundary.
We're going to take a look at that.
But these are three of the large ones they are reporting.
A 6-5, a 6-0, and a 5-4.
6-5, came in at 5 on the DYF, A-4 on the shake map,
associated tsunami warning in only 9 kilometers of water,
obviously a volcano that's about to come
and break the sea level.
Alright, taking a look at that swarm,
remember that's Pele right there, we will zoom in, and that is Etna.
And Edward Casey said, if they were both to go off at the same time,
we would lose our west coast of the United States within 90 days.
I don't know if that's what is happening.
Here is Pele here.
You can see it's a little bit off center.
And this is the swarm that we spoke of.
Now, the USGS is not reporting this sixth, the re-quake here.
Very, very strange.
They are reporting these six earthquakes.
The 6.0, the 6.5, the 5.4, and then some smaller quakes.
A 4.0, a 4.9, a 4.2.
But the USGS itself is not reporting this larger 6.3 here.
We're going to go over the 6.5 and the 6.3
and get some detailed information.
I want you all to see how close Pele is.
It shows us there's a lot of magma movement in this area.
Thank
Awful chopped up here, as you can see.
All right, to start with,
one of the three major earthquakes the USGS is covering is 6-5.
And that's right in between the Lesser Antilles,
you.
the major plate tectonic boundary there that supports them.
And it looks like that was about five hours ago.
Taking a look at some details, remember this is one of six.
Exactly in the swarm, and we have, well,
one off to the side, that's 6-5, only 9 kilometers of depth.
Main reporting source, USGS, 189 reports,
there's a lot of people in the area,
and about 5.3 atomic bombs worth
of energy were released with this quake.
Wow, only 9 kilometers of depth.
That is magma movement very close to the surface.
Here's our shake map for the 6.5. You can see
everyone thought it was on one of the smaller
cluster until it was there. It was a rather
large earthquake and the other one happened right about here.
We'll add that in just a moment. All right.
Preparing quake data from the different agencies on the 6.5.
USGS came in at 6.59 kilometers.
Raspberry Shake at 6.5, 10 kilometers.
Default depth, a depth given as 10 kilometers,
often means the depth of the quake could
not be determined with sufficient accuracy,
especially with an asterisk next to it.
Next we have Columbia coming in.
At zero kilometers. Wow. A 6.8. Wow. We have Germany saying it
was closer to the Leland Islands where the 6.3 was.
There might be some confusion. It might only be one quake.
They gave it a 6.3 here. A 6.3 here. 10 kilometers default depth.
We have the Incorporated Research Institution
for Seismology coming in at 6.5, 9 kilometers of depth.
I feel as if they follow the USGS every single time.
Then we have the French coming
in at a 6.64.
One of the strongest quakes I've ever seen them record
at 32 kilometers of depth.
The Europeans coming in at 6.5, default depth 10 kilometers.
The Italians coming in at a 6.5,
9-kilometer default depth.
And finally, the Australians, or not finally,
but the Australians coming in at 6.4.
They also say Leeward Islands.
So there might be some confusion.
There might only be one quake.
But the USGS is reporting only one quake,
whereas earthquakesandvolcanoes.com are reporting two quakes.
And they're nowhere near each other, really.
And so, finally, we've got the Netherlands coming in.
And they're coming in at a 6.58, 17 kilometers of depth.
All right, back over to volcanoesandearthquakes.com.
Remember, there's Pele right there.
The Etna Pele Parley, Edgar Cayce style.
So, you can see that we have one quake outside the plate.
Tectonic boundary at 6.3.
6.5 here. We're going to get some detailed information on this,
and well, let's take a look
at the authority there. I'm not familiar with that authority there.
That makes it ever more strange.
We'll see how many people actually reported on this.
A 6.3 at 750 kilometers of depth.
Completely different from the extremely shallow.
Earthquake and outside the plate tectonic boundary.
We have to find out what the AUTH is.
So the AUTH is the Athens, Greece University.
I'm guessing they might have made a mistake here,
but we're going to go with it.
But let's see.
This is, again, five hours ago.
It's already looking like a problem here.
It looks like a student made a fooboo.
Aristotle University.
Greeks, and they're the main reporting agency.
Zero people reported it.
We should be correct.
It's in the middle of nowhere.
A 6-3 at 750 kilometers of depth.
Very, very strange here.
Let's see if anyone else reported it, or if they just screwed it up.
And, in fact, they just screwed it up.
Big time.
Depth-wise, location-wise, etc.
Somebody needs to be kicked out of the doctorate program.
Now, we did have a tsunami warning with a 6.5 that is part
of the swarm of six earthquakes, not seven now.
This is obviously a mistake, but we were able to determine that.
Remember, Aristotle's University in Greece made that mistake.
Can't trust them.
All right, so taking a look at the area here.
We think that we would see a booing event mode,
that tsunami warning, we do have that
hurricane in play, we're about to go live on that,
but we don't see anything, which
is lesser until he's here,
and that action would be out here on one of these boobies.
So, there was no tsunami whatsoever created,
in summary, in summary.
A swarm of a total of six earthquakes
get outside the Lesser Antilles
in between that and the Plate Boundary.
And it looks like the biggest quake was a 6-5 with a tsunami warning.
The second one coming in was a 6-0.
The third largest was a 5-4.
And the other three were much smaller.
It looks like there was a mistake made
by Aristotle's University in Greece.
Calling out a 6-3 at a very, well,
deep depth that did not occur, period.
So that's pretty, well, ridiculous if you ask me.
So there you have it, folks.
A little swarm down there just,
just outside of the Lesser Antilles.
And I'm just returning from that area and glad to be home.
God bless guys.
