November 1st, and a lot is going on, right, Alex?
So much going on.
This is now day 13 that we have not had rain,
so it's actually a story about how quiet it's been.
And we are pushing the clock back an hour tonight,
so it's going to look a lot brighter
when you watch us tomorrow morning.
The sun will rise before 6.30 tomorrow.
Halloween looks great. It's going to feel a lot,
lot cooler, but it's about right for this time of the year.
And we do see an end to that dry stretch in the forecast. Here's today.
We're at 60 in Valley Stream, but the rest of us are in the 50s.
So it's nowhere near the 70s, which is where we were yesterday.
We actually hit at Islip 73 degrees.
It was very close to a record of 76.
And now temperatures are running still warmer than average.
into November. We're going to have a pretty good stretch of 60s
and near 70s in the forecast.
We start off this morning mostly 40s.
We'll hang out in the 50s this afternoon. I mean,
not a cloud to be seen. The wind is much lighter today.
Tonight, 6 p.m., you're dropping out of
the 50s after 6 o'clock and into the 40s and 30s.
Sunday's a little chilly to start. For our
allergy sufferers, ragweed is knocked down to moderate.
Still an issue, but not as much of one.
The risk for rain goes up starting Thursday and Friday.
But before that, we have a really warm stretch of weather.
Keep in mind, temperatures usually in the 50s this time of the year.
You're hitting 60s
and maybe even 70s for the middle of next week before we cool down.
