I see tears. I'm seeing a lot of tears behind us, in front of us.
You can understand why. This is pretty moving stuff for people who have
longed for this baseball team in this city to have this opportunity.
Now Jacob Mizorowski is off the bus.
Yeah, we were really clicking along as you pointed out, Ted.
Things have ground to a little bit of a stop here
and nobody's complaining.
The players are out of the buses, the first bus at least,
and there are other buses behind them coming through.
A lot of guys out, confetti flying,
law enforcement right in the middle of it,
and the fans just keep eating it up.
Tim, I pointed to you, even one of the officers on a bicycle
had taken out his phone to get some shots.
He's so impressed with what we're seeing here.
As a couple of the guys stopped to take a photo,
Abner Uribe, Contreras is off the bus now, living it up, Woodruff.
They can't get enough of it.
And they can't get enough of it together.
I think that's the essence of this team.
We've talked about it, but you see it right here.
They keep gathering together.
They want pictures together.
They want to go over to one group of fans together.
And Tim, not to put a downer on it,
but this is the last time this exact team will be together.
Rosters change every year. It's the one thing you can count
on if there even is a season next year.
We'll talk more about that in a little bit.
But someone's going to be off this roster next year
that's on the roster right now.
And that's just the way it is.
And so they are savoring this moment as champions
because after they all go their separate ways,
this 2026 team will be gone.
You're hitting the nail right on the head there, Ted.
It does happen for teams at the end of a season,
but this season has gone so long for the Brewers and been so special.
It is going to change abruptly.
Some of these guys are going to be leaving
to go to their off-season homes this weekend.
Goodbye.
I've been with you since January, February.
Every day we've been together on the buses
and in the hotels and in the clubhouses.
And that dynamic is going to change very quickly.
And so that is part of the reason for this savoring.
Thank you.
It's human nature for these guys as well.
They cannot get enough of this.
And they don't want to do it together.
And you see people running in pictures.
And let's do it all together.
Trying to get some people back up on the buses.
No complaints whatsoever.
They've talked about what a great fan base they have.
They talked about it on the field.
They talked about it in the locker room the other night
while the champagne was flowing.
I don't think any of them, I don't think you or I,
could have been prepared for this reaction right here
as we look at Jacob Mizorowski holding
a Miller Lite underneath the Bob Uecker mural.
I mean, perfect take right there.
Jacob Mizorowski doesn't always cut it up.
You know, you see the most reaction from him
after he gets a big strikeout or a team success.
He's cutting it up today.
And it's intentional that they are stalled right here.
Not stalled, stopped right here.
And look at the back of the bus here.
I don't know if we can get the top of the back of the bus there.
You have Luis Lara, William Contreras.
That is the World Series most valuable player waving
the people up on the parking garages.
Luis Lara called up during the season.
People kind of wondered, what's this
guy going to be able to contribute?
You know what?
He was part of some very big wins for this team.
Oh, they almost, the bus could have moved again,
and Luis Lara almost took a tumble.
Well, I'm also looking at the Commissioner's Trophy.
D.L. Hall has it on.
He's got to hold on tight.
His wife is holding a newborn.
He's holding the Commissioner's Trophy.
Both are doing it very carefully.
Yeah, I know.
