Need a little more, but this is a start.
Meteorologist Roberta Gonzalez joined us once again.
This winter weather advisory, though, certainly for the Sierra Nevada,
something that people need to keep in mind
as we kind of get back into winter mode
and kind of prep for that kind of driving, which is very different.
I know you're a ski bunny.
I do like seeing the snow. Yes, I'm excited to see it.
Well, let's get to that Tahoe forecast for all
of you that will be traveling over the hill.
Perhaps tomorrow you're going to have
to stay on top of the weather conditions.
In fact, we've had a combination of sleet
and rain and snow at the base,
and that's pretty typical with this.
Mild weather pattern that we are experiencing,
but above 6,000 feet, one to two inches of snow.
And then in the higher elevations,
I'm talking about 7,000 to 7,500 feet,
experience potentially a foot of new powder.
And we do have that winter weather advisory
in effect tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. till Sunday at 8 a.m.
Isn't this gorgeous?
What I did is I edited this together
so you could get a good idea of how the morning started.
We do officially have that
sunrise roughly about 732 and we
will have the deck of cloudiness.
And this is our window of opportunity for Halloween.
Look right there.
Look at the clock.
Look at the clouds.
And then behind me here, here's that swath of moisture,
all associated with that cool Pacific storm.
And it looks like it'll arrive after 11 o'clock
when the kids should be in bed already,
after trick-or-treating, unless they have a big sugar high.
There's an overnight rain,
and then it clears out midday for your Sunday.
It's going to be gorgeous.
Temperatures across the area today,
64 in Pacifica to 74 degrees in Antioch,
It's obviously cloudy tonight.
Right now, no clouds under 12,000 feet
as we take a look at the seashore of Santa Cruz,
where we do have that coastal flood advisory.
It expires tomorrow on the Pacific Coast at 6 p.m.
Otherwise, 6 p.m. on Sunday elsewhere,
7.3 feet will be tomorrow's high tide.
Look at the precipitation.
Look at the lightning bolts around Fresno.
That was between 9 and 9.30 today.
Again, your future cast clearly illustrates
that we will buy that break for trick-or-treaters.
It will be a treat for the...
But I've got to tell you,
it's going to be a bit on the cool to cold side.
You might want to carry that extra jacket
and put it on your little loved one as they get a little chilled.
All right, showers arrive tomorrow night,
late night, pretty much overnight.
Temperatures come down gently.
Your extended forecast, there you have it.
Remember, we do fall back.
One hour on Sunday morning when you rise and shine,
filter sunshine in a moderate weather pattern all
the way through Election Day.
Claudine, no excuse not to vote, right?
No excuse not to vote, yes.
Get out there and make sure you cast your ballot.
