And speaking of the marathon,
I'm going to bring in our very special guest tonight,
Kelly Katz and Debbie Giudice and their niece.
You'll correct me, ladies,
about the name pronunciation if I said it wrong.
Giudice.
Giudice.
Okay, there we go.
Thank you very much.
I don't want to upset anybody.
Thank you, everybody.
So I want to ask you, Kelly and Debbie,
you are the sisters that didn't know you
were sisters until you were in your 50s.
Am I right?
That's right.
You are right.
23andMe gave us that answer.
Were you born in different countries as well?
No.
Yes.
Yes.
Italy.
And she's from the United States.
I was born in Chicago.
Oh, my gosh.
So what made you, when you finally found each other,
what made you decide to run the marathon on Sunday together?
Well, Kelly ran the marathon last year, and I came out to cheer
her on with her best friend from college, and we had such a great time.
It was so inspirational that the next day, I said, Kelly,
I want to run the marathon next year. You want to do it with me?
She said, sure, and then we called my daughter and said,
Campbell, do you want to run it? And here we are a year later.
Are you excited, and how meaningful is it
that you're not only running the marathon,
which is meaningful in and of itself,
but that you're doing it with a sister you didn't know
you had until a few years ago?
Honestly, it's emotional for me because
Not only to find that I have this sister
and this beautiful niece that I love and adore,
but that we have so much in common.
I mean, we're born four months apart.
We're married on the same day.
We have the same interests,
the same favorite cocktails, the same favorite candies.
We have so much in common.
Honestly, we always say it feels like we were twins separated at birth.
And to be able to run this marathon together
and be at the starting line, we feel like
we've missed so much in life,
but we are making up for it in extraordinary ways.
And this is just one of them.
And we're just thrilled that we all have the same amount of energy
and enthusiasm and drive
in life.
We're equal, all of us.
So it's so much fun.
And we're just excited about the opportunity, really.
And what made you want to do 23andMe to begin with?
I had met an investor in it and it's a female owned business and I'm,
I'm a female entrepreneur
myself. And I had a lot of respect for Anne Wojcicki.
So I did the, I, I did the test just
to support a female owned business.
And I mean, look what I was given as a gift for doing that.
It's just, and we have two brothers, I have two brothers as well.
Well,
But just really remarkable.
So ladies, as you get ready, you know,
the runners all have their superstitions and their
things that they do before.
And I know not all of you have run this before,
but are you, what's your strategy?
I mean, the weather's going to hold,
it might be a little warmer than you like.
Are you going to try to stay together through the whole thing?
Well, I think Campbell is much younger and has a lot more energy,
so our goal for all
of us is to finish, and whoever finishes first
is going to be there for the rest of us at
the finish line to support,
and so we're just excited for this opportunity, and we just
want to finish.
We want to be able to finish.
Yeah, it's amazing.
How is the training going,
and do you guys live near each other now, or do you live in
different states?
Well, I live in Arizona, and we're kind of all over the place.
My mom's on the East Coast,
and Kelly's on the West Coast, so it's really special for
us to be together this weekend in one place.
Amazing, amazing.
We've been texting while we're training,
you know, how many miles are you up to, and it's
been, we both do Orange Theory, we work out together,
you know, but in different cities.
It's tough to train in Arizona, that is for sure.
I don't know how you did that.
You must have had to do it inside, right?
Yeah, it has been tough.
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
Definitely.
We really wish you the very best of luck on Sunday.
It's so great that you got to do this and you're
getting to do this together.
And I hope you finish.
Of course, that's all that matters, right?
And have fun.
Right.
Awesome.
Ladies.
And Debbie made a shirt.
Can you see that?
Okay.
Let's see.
There you go.
That's perfect.
I love it.
That's great.
Can you tell our ethnicity?
I'm
I can just see the sunglasses there.
starting
That's awesome.
Ladies, have a great night.
We're wearing Italian outfits.
I love it.
I love it.
Ladies, have an awesome race marathon on Sunday.
And we look forward to talking to you when it's all complete.
to

I'll be cheering you on. I'll be screaming.
