And yeah, we're going to be checking in with them all morning long
as the activity and the anticipation
and the excitement starts to build for the Parade of Champions,
a celebration that we've been waiting for for decades.
It feels so good. All right. Well, we know Andrew is joining some fans
who've already lined up here at the grounds.
Andrew, what are they telling you?
Donovan, that they are ready. They are excited.
They know that this is a piece of history that
they are going to forever remember.
Simply put, there's so many people that are already
starting to line up here. I feel like it's the busiest it's ever been.
We got here just a couple
hours ago and there were even people waiting
in line just a half hour ago. We spoke with someone
that got here at 6 p.m. yesterday.
So that just tells you how much anticipation, how much excitement
Believe it or not, though, guys,
It's not just Brewers fans over here.
There's a Cubs fan.
I ran into a Cubs fan here.
Steven, come on over here.
What's going on, guys?
You are a Cubs fan, you told me,
but you're also decked out in the Brewers championship shirt.
What's got you out here this morning?
Well, I got a lot of family that are Brewers fans,
but I also got a lot of family that are Cubs fans.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It's great to be out here, but all in all, I love the city.
The Brewers highly deserve it.
They are...
It's been some, how many years? Like 27, right?
Yeah, it's great. Great for the city and great for it all, man.
It's great. I love it.
Well, 44 since the last time they were in the World Series.
But really, when we're talking about
this historic rivalry between the Brewers and the Cubs,
you would never imagine a Cubs fan being here.
But just talk about what you're feeling,
what you're seeing in this area,
especially in regards to this historic moment for the city.
I mean, for the city, I love it. Like the Cubs won it back in 2016.
It took 108 long.
Years. Thankfully I only had to live for like, I'd say like
Half of that, not even, but it's great, man.
I love it.
I wish I would have been to the parade in 2016, but it did not happen.
But I'm here today, so go Brewers, I guess.
And you are from Illinois, just over the border, growing up.
Windy Park area, yeah.
Okay, and I know that there were a lot of Brewers fans there too.
So now that rivalry is sort of shifting now.
Yeah.
But now you're here at the rally.
What are you expecting from today's event?
I'm expecting a whole lot of Brewers fans.
I'm expecting like a lot of
Maybe one or two Cubs fans, I'd say.
There'll be a couple Cubs fans here.
Okay.
I mean, hey, yeah, just to join with you.
I know you got here at 4:32, so you got here pretty early.
He's just one of so many people who have gotten here early,
continuing to, you know, get their place,
not only for the parade route, but of course the rally.
So, Derricka, we'll keep it here,
and we'll continue to talk with more people
ahead of this exciting event.
Go Brewers!
Go Brewers, yes, and that goes to show
just how strong the Brewers fandom is, right?
Even crossing over 94.
All right, Andrew, thank you so much.
