Brewers World Series parade; excited fans line up early

Yes, there's going to be all of that, Nicholas, definitely something that people should be aware of, especially when they're coming down to the Summerfest Grounds, making sure that they are staying updated. We have all the information on fox6now.com. There's also going to be a handful of activities here at Summerfest Grounds. So not just, of course, there's the big rally and the parade and all those things, but with all the people that are going to be here, there's definitely a lot to expect. Family activities, food, games. all those things but something an angle that i kind of want to touch on is just how early people are getting here so uh joined here by stephanie and danielle when we first pulled up here we saw that there were chairs and a tent first and foremost how early did you did you all get here um we got here yesterday at like 6 p.m that is 6 p.m yeah oh my gosh um i guess why why that early why not Why not like 8 p.m. or even just now or something like that? Well, we saw a lot of stuff on Facebook, and we saw a lot of posts and stuff that people are already coming to put out chairs, and people are already starting to post up, so we figured we'd come right after work, and why not be part of that? Yeah, and you guys are definitely making your presence known. You have chairs, tents, all already set up, and even behind us here, you're even seeing more people start to trickle in. Obviously, this is a historic moment for this city. How much does this moment mean to you all? It means everything to both of us, our family, like everyone, the whole city. This is so exciting. It's really exciting. Yeah, we grew up, I mean, I grew up in a baseball family. I played baseball myself. My dad, we've been Brewers fans, we've been coming since it's been Milwaukee County Stadium. So like everybody else says, we've been waiting our whole entire lives for this moment. And so it's just really emotional and it's really something special to be part of. And I can't wait till my family comes and joins us here today too. It's sort of like, okay, this is history, the first World Series victory for this ball club. So you have to be down here for it. You know what I mean? So even before this, we were talking about how much Milwaukee is a baseball city. Of course, you know, you can compare and contrast the Milwaukee Bucks run, which was historic in its own right. But talk about that difference. I don't know. That's kind of tough. I mean, anywhere in the city of Milwaukee, Green Bay, Madison, I mean, we're just a sports state. I mean, that's just how it is. Like, you can go anywhere else and nobody can party like we do here. It's just how it is. And you guys definitely... know how to party when it comes to sports and Derrick, a fun fact, Wisconsin is one of three states to have an MLB team, NFL and NBA team win a championship since 2010. So definitely Wisconsin is making its own sports history here in the Midwest. It sure is. That's why you got to love the fans, right? We've been supporting them since day one.
