Nick Caserio Just Said It Loud And Clear...
Oct 29, 2026
Video Summary
AI GeneratedHouston Texans GM Nick Caserio is exploring potential trades ahead of the November 10th deadline. While the team is communicating with other franchises to address needs in the offensive line and running back positions, there is an ongoing internal debate regarding whether to make a high-profile \"splash\" move now or prioritize accumulating draft picks for future sustainability.
Nick Casario just said it loud
and clear as Casario makes a big statement regarding the
NFL trade deadline that's just two weeks away
with many fans speculating if Houston could be
in line for another big trade.
What's up ladies and gentlemen welcome back to Texans Digest. I'm
your host as always Isaac Estrada.
Man we got a lot we need to talk about today. The NFL trade
deadline is just two short weeks away.
That makes along with the fact that Casario just made a bold
statement regarding the NFL trade deadline.
What does this mean for the Houston Texans? We're
going to dive into all that and more today on Texans Digest
but right before we talk about that
man about 90% of you guys are still not subscribed
so do your boy a favor hit that subscribe button
you're going to be getting daily updates here on Texans Digest
but without further ado man we're
going to jump right into it so Nick Casario
when talking to the media yesterday had this to say
we're going to pull it up on the big screen they
were asking about they were asking him about the
NFL trade deadline because the NFL trade deadline
November 10th 3 p.m central time if we're looking
at it from a texas time so nick casario had to say
when discussing the trade deadline every
opportunity we'll look at if it makes sense we're
always open we've had conversations we've talked
to most of the league teams have started
to reach out we will always be open-minded obviously nick
casario is no no stranger to making splash trades he did it just
a few weeks back with the marvin
harrison jr so today what i want to talk about is what does this mean
and also who could the
Houston Texans possibly trade for so first
of all to discuss what Nick Casario had to say
we've talked to most of the league about what about what trades what
are we talking about here
we're talking about an offensive lineman we're
talking about a running back what are we
we discussing here Nick that is one thing
that really drew me in like okay what do we mean by
this Nick and teams have reached out as well
and we'll always be open-minded so it is very obvious
through looking at this not only has Nick Caserio reached out
to other teams but other teams have
been reaching out to us as well.
So what does that mean for the Houston Texans? Something I want to
make it very clear before we dive into today's video.
This is going to be a rumors video, as
people would like to call it. This is going
to be disgusting. Who would make the most amount of
sense for Houston to trade for? I know every
single time I make one of these videos, they're
like, why would you make a video like this?
This isn't even accurate. That is the fun with the NFL.
That's the fun with sports.
It is one of the only kind of news outlets you can talk about rumors,
and it still makes sense. We talked about it
multiple months ago with Marvin Harrison Jr.
doesn't make sense for Houston to trade for him.
Lo and behold, Marvin Harrison Jr.
was traded to the Houston Texans because it made sense.
And those are the same kind of trades
I want to talk about today.
So without further ado, let's dive right into those.
Possible trade options for Houston.
We're going to start off very fast and strong, man.
Starting off with a big one.
Starting off with the big one, Jonathan Taylor.
We've talked about it a lot, man.
A lot of people have been talking about it.
Jonathan Taylor is on the trade block.
A lot of people have been saying
to Indianapolis has been shopping him.
Not only that, but just to think, imagine if you were to
tell a Colts fan a year or two ago, hey,
you're going to be shopping Jonathan Taylor here pretty
soon. They'd say, you're out of your mind.
You are out of your mind. And when talking about Saquon
Barkley a few weeks ago, we had talked about,
does it make sense for Houston to trade for him? I said,
absolutely not. You guys said, absolutely not.
But one of the key things that a lot of you guys
said, and one of the key things that I was noticing a lot,
Jonathan Taylor's name was brought up.
A lot of people saying, hey, don't make the trade for Saquon.
If you're going to trade for a running
back make it a guy like Jonathan Taylor
and Jonathan Taylor has been turning a lot of heads
this season when it comes to that something I want
to pull up let's pull up the numbers for JT
put it on the big screen put it here on the big screen
in seven games he's ran for 587 yards
eight touchdowns obviously still productive
as ever obviously not having the same kind of
amazing phenomenal year that he's used to having over
the past few seasons but either way I think
Jonathan Taylor is still a superstar
in this league he's still obviously a top 10 back in
this league I'm still taking him over majority
of the guys something else we had talked about and a lot
of people gave me shade for it
as I said hey I think Woody Marks is good I don't think he can
be that guy who can be a top 10 back even if we have
a great offensive line the biggest issue with
Jonathan Taylor is what jersey does he currently wear right now
the Indianapolis Colts if the
Indianapolis Colts are going
to be thinking about Jonathan Taylor I doubt that one of the teams that
they're going to be thinking about trading him
to is going to be the Houston Texans we had talked
about it a few years ago with Deshaun Watson
when Deshaun Watson was thinking about getting traded
The Colts were in desperate need for a quarterback.
One of the things we talked about is, hey,
if we're going to trade him to anybody,
it sure as heck is not going to be the Indianapolis Colts.
I would not be surprised if they're
in that same position where they're like,
hey, maybe we'd be willing to trade him.
It sure as heck would not be to Nick Caserio and these Houston Texans.
If I'm the Indianapolis Colts, I would imagine they get a call,
hey, it's Nick Caserio.
You put that phone right back down.
You're not answering.
But I think if Houston Texans want to make this trade,
it's going to have to be something big.
It's going to have to be something big.
I'm going to say a first-round pick.
I don't agree with that,
but I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts are like,
all right, you want to have some conversations?
Throw us a first.
You're 2-5 right now.
Your record's not looking so hot.
I'm going to bank on y'all having a top 10 pick this year.
Throw us a first.
So I would believe that that is what Indianapolis would do.
I think if they do that, Houston should not bite.
I think, honestly, in my opinion, I've talked to you guys about this.
I think we're going to get a running back.
I think the best possible place to get him is in the upcoming draft.
But if you want to make a big splash for whatever reason,
if you still think that this team can compete, if you are Nick Casario,
go make the trade for Jonathan Taylor just field
the offer just see hey Indy what would you guys
want to trade him away especially to a division rival I know
that's a little bit rough but see
what they would want another one we're going
to talk about Deion Dawkins so obviously when talking
about this our offensive line has been terrible man
our offensive line has been abysmal this is
one that really really really might need to happen we
were talking about earlier with Quenton Nelson
obviously talking about hey would it make sense for us to trade for him
because we need offensive
sure enough without a shadow of a doubt I
was in class earlier today immediately Seattle Seahawks
make the trade for him I was like wow
that was the money story that is what I wanted to talk
about today but because he's not I'm looking
at other options Dawkins obviously Dawkins has been
a very solid offensive lineman
and right now if you look it up he looks like the only offensive
lineman especially in that left tackle position
that's on the trade block I think this offensive
line needs help just shortened to the point I
think he could be a great addition to this team
But again, these are a lot of issues.
We're talking about the trade deadline.
The reason why I'm talking about this
is because Casario had made the quote
that, hey, we're fielding offers from everybody.
And I know that Houston Texans like to be aggressive.
But if I'm the Houston Texans in this upcoming draft,
I'm stacking up.
But for whatever reason, if you're Houston
and you still think that this team can compete,
look Dawkins way in my opinion.
Last one I want to talk about.
Hear me out.
Actually, don't hear me out at all.
I'm going to scratch that.
Do not hear me out.
But it's the one that's getting talked about a lot, man.
Saquon Barkley.
I know a lot of you guys,
as soon as I shove this picture on the screen,
And you're turning your head.
And I get it.
I get it.
Saquon Barkley is not a hot commodity these days in the NFL.
He's had a rough season.
Obviously, he had a lot better game
last night on Monday Night Football.
Something I do want to talk about.
The reason why I'm bringing up Saquon
Barkley is because if you guys remember,
we had dissected it in a video a few days ago.
And also, it's been going everywhere.
Philadelphia Eagles, they are not looking good this year.
Our prayers go out to Jalen Hurts
because obviously having a blood clot,
that is a very serious issue.
I've had family members with blood clots.
and that's something that that's a life or death situation
and I'm not gonna jump the gun on saying
that with with Jalen Hurts but either way that is a rough situation
and this season has looked like
a scratch for the Philadelphia Eagles obviously
right now I think they're sitting at about two
and five on the season I wish we could have played them coming out
of the bye week but either way
this season isn't looking too hot for them
and it's leaving a lot of people saying hey who do
we need to ship out Philly might need
a clean house here Philly already won the Super Bowl
maybe it's time to hit that reset button
and start from scratch again one of the names that's
constantly being shipped out that's talking
about being shipped out is Saquon Barkley.
If you guys remember a few weeks ago,
or actually it was about a week ago, the report came out
about a possible guy on ESPN said, hey,
what if Houston gets a hold of Saquon Barkley? Well,
what would they have to give up?
This guy with a straight face said, Woody Marks, a second round
pick, a fourth round pick, and a seventh round pick.
I was livid. Of course, I did two videos
on it. I did a short on it on this channel.
I have 13,000 views. Then did a video on it that
had 10,000 views. So only could be livid up to an extent.
But at the end of the day, I think it was
a terrible trade I don't agree
with that at all honestly I talk about I say hey Woody Marks is
good he's solid but I don't think he's great I'm
still taking Woody Marks any day of the week over
a 29 year old Saquon Barkley right now that's starting
to noticeably regress now that he's been
with the Philadelphia Eagles for a few years now
so let's pull it up really quickly though man
Saquon Barkley this season put it on the big screen
in four games honestly I'm not sure if
This is counting the game he played last night.
But either way, in four games, 36 carries,
182 yards, not a single touchdown.
I'm not sure if that's counting last night's game.
I can't tell you off the top of my head.
But either way, even if that had 100 more yards off
of last night's game, I'm still,
this isn't something I'm biting on if I'm the Houston Texans.
I had said it last time, and I'll say it again.
The only reason I think Houston,
not even the only reason I think Houston would, the
only reason I think why people are trying to ship this out
or trying to say, hey, say
Kwon to Houston is for publicity sake.
It's for the sake of Saquon being a big name and Saquon
going to play with CJ Stroud and now everything's going to look better.
I think that is kind of the
only thing holding this trade together in hypothetical terms.
I don't even remotely
think that this is something that Houston Texans should do.
Again, if you're going to make a trade
for a running back, Jonathan Taylor's looking you right in the eyes
and it sure as heck is not going
to be Saquon Barkley. I know what you're thinking,
then why even bring it up in the first place?
Because this is one that's been constantly
talked about. Whether we like it or not,
this is one that's being constantly talked about
is Saquon Barkley to the Houston Texans but to end
off this video I want to ask you guys I want
to ask you guys do you think Houston should make a
trade before the trade deadline again
the NFL trade deadline is November 10th 2 p.m central
time I'm going based off of the time we are here in Texas
so if you're a Houston Texans fan and are
not from Texas I do apologize but yes
or no or I still have faith in the squad aka delusion but
either way let me know what you guys think below
in the comments these Houston Texans they need a
lot of help the question is is are they going
to look for it before the trade deadline or are they
going to make some huge roster adjustments
in the offseason let me know what you guys think below
in the comments have a great day have
a blessed day i will see you guys tomorrow
