Well, if you're a Cowboy fan,
you may have just ended the season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
They fall to 2-5.
The Cowboys now 3-4.
They roll to a 38-21 win.
Reminder, the total closed at 43.5 for the game,
and the Cowboys scored 38 points.
Devontae Williams,
he was the most heavily bet prop to score a touchdown last night.
That did happen, but he ran the ball for 155 yards,
becoming the first Cowboy since Ezekiel Elliott
to rush for 150 in a game
and the first opposing running back to get to that mark since Nick
Sirianni became the head coach of the Eagles back in 2021.
Fifth straight loss for the Eagles after
opening up 2-0. They're now 2-5
and there has to be some real questions about what Philly does
heading towards the trade deadline.
What do you do with Saquon Barkley? What do you do just with
the rest of this football season you know Jalen Hurts
is not coming back do you need DeVonta Smith
to play do you need Saquon Barkley
to play like I know you have home games and you have ticket
holders and people you have to live they have
to have to answer to but this is a lost season for
the Philadelphia Eagles and so now it's about the Giants
and the Cowboys in the NFC East which is
somewhat crazy to say
that after winning back-to-back NFC East champions championships
There's going to be a new king of the division coming up this year,
which is normally what
happens for 20 years.
No one had gone back to back until
the Eagles did last year by winning the NFC East.
Are the Cowboys going to be that team?
Because the Giants right now with JJ McCarthy feel like
a team that is really going to be
a problem for anyone that they face.
The defense for the Giants played really well on Sunday.
J.J. McCarthy played great against the Texans,
and there's all this conversation now about
J.J. versus Jackson Dart,
who actually is the quarterback of the future for the Giants.
You have a lot of money invested, obviously,
a first-round pick in Jackson Dart, but J.J.
under Harbaugh could be the secret sauce,
and depending on how good the year goes, if
the Giants win the division, go to the playoffs,
what do you do with Jackson Dart?
trade him in the off season is it all JJ
so i i'm really curious to see what's going to happen
giants are taking the division go cowboys i mean
they could they absolutely could so eric says shut
it down dom says mail it in i i i mean we're halfway through
the year right so we're playing
or almost right we're into week eight
and so we now look at what will happen there's nine weeks
left of the regular season for the Eagles what
are you playing for you need to get everyone
healthy for next year do you really I mean I
guess there's contract incentives and there's
other things at play but if Nick Sirianni is coming back
which by all accounts they're not
going to blame him for what happened with Jalen Hurts
and what happened with Saquon Barkley and
Devonta Smith and everything I mean the injuries have
been significant for this football team
that it's not Nick's fault so they're going
to bring back the head coach you're bringing back
the staff. So now it's about 2027 and getting everybody healthy.
