Brewers' Rise: Exploring Fan Passion and Rivalry with Cubs

Why is there anger from a certain segment of the Brewer population fan base towards the national media and towards Major League Baseball? Because it feels like, and I've seen it on my own social media, where any type of conversation about big market or where baseball currently is, that Brewer fans are like, you guys ignored us for so many years. You made us feel like second-rate citizens for so long, and now we're going to be at the king of the hill. is there sort of I told you so going on with a certain level a certain percentage of the population in in Brewer Nation there might be a little bit with some people we do have a little brother syndrome I mean we are less than 90 miles away from the Chicago Cubs who are a national darling and Cubs fans are they travel well to Milwaukee games and get a lot of fans in the building for that so that is a robust rivalry and I think the Packers do or the Packers the Brewers and their fans might have a little bit of an inferiority complex to the Cubs although they shouldn't because we've won the division four straight years and now you'd be the smallest hand you'd be the smallest metropolitan area ever to win the World Series wow in Major League baseball history no no one of the size with the payroll the size of you guys because we've seen like the Twins we've seen other smaller quote quote small small market teams Pittsburgh and whatnot who didn't have big payrolls have won the World Series in their history but you guys being the smallest metropolitan area on top of the fact you play small ball and you play the game the way the game used to be played I've been in love I told you this since last year I've been in love with Pat Murphy for two years I think he's the best manager in baseball he's the two-time NL Manager of the Year, make him three time for the way that he has coached these guys and you mentioned the pitchers that come out of nowhere you guys have got you have players that come out of nowhere and you're like where did this kid come from and all of a sudden the guy's contributing in in major moments mostly because the coach trusts that player to do what's being asked of him it really feels like a team victory you guys i know Christian Yelich is you know or Jackson Chourio maybe the star or Mizarovsky gets all the headlines but it does feel like you guys are a complete team it definitely feels like there is um an esprit de corps with this team that not a lot of other MLB teams have and it feels like it's a a dugout pretty low on egos you know and there's some Jackson Chourio is going to be a star for a decade plus
