Tonight will be just the sixth time out of those 25
in which a game made it to a fifth opportunity.
Never gone to a game six or seven
when a team has trailed 3-0 in the World Series.
So that would be a first here,
but that's the goal is just win one game at a time.
And knowing that, you know, Murph last night,
I wasn't sure what he was doing.
McGill uh for five pitches I I don't know what
that was the whole drag going to Drohan I get it
but it seemed like he could have stuck
with sense of talent there for a little more uh
Mizorowski doesn't go more than five
but he's got plus money at 15 and a half outs here tonight
so do we try to if we're gonna push him right
is this the game that we go to push him here Greg do
uh to get it done and and be done
with this all together it's really hard to say and I don't think
it's a matter of pushing him it's just a matter
of understanding that he's a strikeout pitcher
and it's just harder for some of these guys to hit their props
because there's always going to
be three four pitches involved he doesn't pitch
the contact almost ever joe he's always looking
for a strike one strike two strike three
so that builds up a pitch count and it makes it more
difficult to go through the lineup two three plus times
so i i probably would lean under toward that
again and and it could be nothing nothing at that point
but yeah joe i i don't think it's about
pushing i just think it's when you have a pitcher
of his caliber you prefer the guy to get all the
swings and misses than to go deeper into the game
because you sort of feel like you could get
somebody else that could come in and pump 98
and get more strikeouts too that's just the nature of
the game at this point so um you know five six innings
at most i think from Misuraka again
tonight yeah i mean listen the the middle relievers
is the big problem right now maybe a little bit of
fatigue start to set in there for the Brewers
so I'm wondering maybe they give him an op right
listen can you go because I don't even think he
sniffed 100 pitches right Craig and this and these
four and five then I don't think he's even come close
to 100 pitches in any of these so it's
really been more situationally third time through
the order where he's kind of utilized the bullpen
uh when when best there didn't strike out
a ton of guys in uh in game one by the way
would he have three strikeouts for the Brewers
so but I don't think he hit 80 pitches in that one so
I'm wondering maybe you save an arm or two
and say hey can you go out there and get us three more
outs uh it'll be interesting to see where he goes
but his closer is available I don't know what the
whole five pitch McGill outing was last night
but I'm guessing he can be available to go longer if
he needs him here tonight uh late
in the game yeah maybe early in the game maybe like Tampa
Bay did bring it in early yeah maybe that is more
of of what Milwaukee may do to sort of solidify
things but look I I feel what you're saying Joe it
just feels like we we set ourselves up for this
every time and then every time the managers go
to the bullpen you know like it doesn't matter
what we think they just always after four innings
are like that's it go to the bullpen the only way
that you get it get kind
of if you go unscathed through five six innings yes Joe if he doesn't
give up a run he only gives up one hit yes I think
that there is a chance that he goes deeper but you
would expect five innings two runs five innings one run
and then you're gonna see Romero or somebody
else warming up in the bullpen and then that's gonna
be it I mean the other thing is tonight
is Woodruff a possibility for the Brewers that's
an interesting name after everything yesterday
yeah like that that is an interesting name
to see uh what role he would play could he play the
eighth inning role today Joe could he play
the seventh inning role I think there's a chance of
that happening today I got my eye on that yeah it's uh yeah well you're
also gonna have uh guys
like Matts and Clevenger and Seltzer on the other side some
of these pitchers yeah on the other side
they're gonna be rolling out or not good
but listen give them guys all the credit in the world
for limiting uh the offense last night absolutely what we thought
was a two-horse race in the MVP
Craig like we said the uh Pratt
was it kept showing I love they kept going to uh Robin
Yount who was in the ballpark last night they kept going to him
and showing you know him and
Yount of course the shortstop
and uh the franchise for as many years a Hall of Famer and I mean this
kid is just absolute nails at what 22 years old uh
but he had the kind of night that MVPs are
one on but it'll be interesting
because now what what seemed like a two horse race might depending
offensively who has the best night might have
an opportunity to win that award here for Milwaukee
i think you're absolutely right i think Pratt put himself
into the conversation you can't eliminate
Chorio from the conversation
and then Wilson Contreras was the favorite so yeah joe to your
point two hits tonight two RBIs out of one
of those three that guy's probably the MVP of the
World Series i i totally agree with you there uh you know
the only thing would be is what if one of
those guys had a really good night in the race one
then all of a sudden we're headed we're headed
toward another game so uh but yeah look i i pratt
was not a part of the conversation until yesterday
but then again this is how it changes so quickly in the MVP
and we've seen this before i remember
when i think it was Jalen Brown ended up winning
the MVP of the of the finals one year he was like
20 to 1 or something and then all of a sudden
by the end he was the favorite to win the MVP so
yeah let's see what happens tonight it's
a good door throw joe i would say that yeah if you want
to take a shot on pratt or or better yet what
about Jackson Chorio showing up in the biggest
moment tonight maybe hitting a home run
then all of a sudden he would win so not a two horse race
anymore it's definitely three
