Urgent manhunt underway for escaped killer

Intensifying manhunt for a convicted murderer who escaped from a Tennessee prison this weekend. Officials say they found a truck he stole hours away from the prison. And our Faith Abubay has the latest. Good morning, Faith. Yeah, good morning to you, Michael. This is now a multi-state manhunt. Authorities say they've searched and cleared buildings in the area. They have stopped drivers on the road to search their cars and even found that stolen vehicle they say the suspect was in and still no sign of him. Now, take a look at this video. According to Tennessee investigators, this is security footage that shows Jacob Morley stealing that vehicle shortly after he broke out of the prison. By Monday, investigators say the convicted killer was in Marion, Illinois, more than two hours away, where he abandoned that vehicle behind a business. The 28-year-old was serving life in prison for murdering his co-worker, Corey Birchfield, back in 2022. Investigators in Tennessee at this time have not said exactly how the prisoner was able to escape, but they do say it was around 11.30 p.m. Sunday when Morley breached the perimeter fence and exited the facility in his prison uniform. And guys, at this time, his victim's sister telling GMA that they are reliving this horrible tragedy all over again. Guys. We are thinking of that family, and hopefully he will be found soon, Faith. Thank you.
