Officer facing 100+ charges in child sex abuse material case

A Chester police officer is facing more than 100 charges related to alleged child sexual abuse material, unlawful use of a computer and invasion of privacy after a routine audit of a statewide law enforcement database uncovered suspicious searches, authorities said.

Leon Paparo was charged following an investigation by the Delaware County District Attorney's Office, which began after a 2026 audit of JNET, the Pennsylvania Justice Network.
