I'm Chief Meteorologist Brian McMillan. Let's get into your forecast.
It's been a mild October so far, and a very, very dry October.
We did get about a quarter of an inch of rain on Sunday.
That puts us up to three-tenths of an inch, but it's still
the second driest start to October in 81 years of records.
We are going to get more rain in the forecast,
though, coming up over the next few days.
Really, each day through Thursday, we have a chance of rain showers.
There'll be plenty of dry time as well,
but these showers are going to stick with us.
This takes us into Tuesday.
You can see the showers still popping up here and there.
See some heavier rain arriving overnight Tuesday and Wednesday,
and then back to scattered showers.
So this will feel a lot more like fall this week.
Temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.
Again, scattered showers.
East of the Cascades, we'll be looking at 40s and 50s,
and it's going to be a wet day down in Portland and Eugene as well.
All right, our sunsets tonight at 6:01.
Only a couple more days left of these 6 o'clock hour sunsets,
And then 5 o'clock hour sunsets start in just a couple of days.
And then we fall back on November 1st.
We get that extra hour of sleep, but it means our sun will
be setting before 5 o'clock, starting on November 1st.
And in three weeks, we'll have our first 4:30 sunsets.
All right, coming up here over the next several days,
it's going to be much cooler.
Mid-50s for highs through Wednesday,
and then we'll cool it down even more Thursday and Friday.
But we should dry out by Friday and through your weekend.
And have a great day.
