a high school football game in
Tumwater.
FOX 13's Sam Campbell live outside Tumwater High School
with what we know so far this
morning.
Sam.
Well, Taylor, good morning.
And yes, as you can see and hear behind me,
there is now an elementary school football
game going on.
And we've been talking with parents
who are showing up with their children just 12 hours
after those stands right there were completely emptied.
Now, the 14-year-old that you mentioned is now in custody
with Thurston County Youth and Family Services,
facing real consequences for alleged behavior in the digital world
that, again, just 12 hours ago resulted in this field being empty.
Police say that they posted a threat on social media
yesterday afternoon, and then that teen soon went on the run.
It took police six to seven hours to find that teen,
with Tumwater Police updating the community
on Facebook around 1 a.m. that they'd found the suspect.

The threat was credible enough
that Tumwater School District called off its rivalry game.
Kickoff in the Pioneer Bowl
with Black Hill High School was set for 7 p.m.,
but instead, players and fans were told to stay home.
Now, Tumwater police do not expect any further arrests in this case,
but we are also learning about another incident in the area
that resulted in another high school football match being canceled.
Now, we'll have more on that, but for now,
live in Tumwater, Sam Campbell, Fox 13 News.
