Welcome back here to Fox Local,
a festival happening right now at Boulevard Green.
You can go there and enjoy local makers, vintage finds, and much more.
Our Eli Jordan joins us live with more
on Grant Park Conservancy's Market in the Park.
Eli, thanks so much for joining us
to talk about what's happening out there.
Hey, hey, yeah, good afternoon, Jasmine, or morning still, I guess.
But, yeah, I'm at Market in the Park here at Boulevard
at the intersection of Ormwood and Boulevard.
It's going on until 3 p.m., and there's a lot of cool stuff out here.
We checked out some local honey, got some local produce.
There's a lot of vintage stuff out here, too,
but also, too, in the spirit of Halloween,
we're going to check out the witchy kombucha set up here in the tent.
And I'm here with Leah Tyoxin.
And, Leah, tell me, so we got some kombucha going on here, right?
Yes, we do.
And so this is local, right?
It is local, brewed and distributed all in Atlanta area.
And so tell me, what flavors do we have?
We have our ginger apricot, our matcha citrus, our heirloom cherry.
We also have our seasonal apple cider,
which is a hit for this time of the year.
All right, so witchy kombucha, it's kombucha, or kombucha, whatever.
I don't, I get it all mixed up.
But it's a fermented drink, correct?
Yes, it's a fermented tea that is really good
for your gastrointestinal system,
your digestion and your overall immunity.
Is it something good to drink with yogurt to get those
all sorts of probiotics? But it's a lot like that.
It's got pre and probiotics in it to support your
digestion and gut health. So if you're feeling a little bit of poopy,
a little crampy or something,
maybe some kombucha would help you.
It can, it can get things moving. So you don't want to drink
more than one in a day, but it definitely supports
your overall digestive process. And so, but even
though it's fermented, it's not alcoholic.
It is not alcoholic. Nope. And so, uh, what is your
favorite? What would you say? My favorite is the ginger apricot.
Cause I love ginger and we use
organic ginger that we fresh press ourselves.
And so where do you guys, I mean, you're local
and stuff. I mean, where can people find you?
Where do you brew? Just tell me about, you know,
where you're set up. Yeah, we are in about 45 shops,
restaurants, and cafes around town.
we're in Ollie's, we're in Nuts and Berries, we're
also across the southeast in the Earth Fair
markets, okay, and do you guys have a website
or anything? We do, you can go to witchyk.com
and you can also order our kombucha online, that's cool
and uh, do you have an Instagram just for the
heck of it? We do, it's witchy kombuchi
but the the kombuchi is spelled with a v not a u just
as it is on your flyer and in your shirt, right? Yeah
so and tell me, I mean what kind of stores
you guys in and uh uh what does this pair well
with, I guess? Okay, well it pairs well with pretty
much anything, we like to even use it as a mixer
for certain cocktails, you can take gin or bourbon
or mezcal with our honey jalapeno flavor, we
also are in the Iberian Pig, we're at a lot of the coffee
shops around town as well
as the smaller neighborhood markets like Oakland Littles
things like that, is it drink cold, warm, room
temperature? You can drink it, preferably it's
cold, you keep it refrigerated
but our apple cider we do like to heat it up um and drink that one
warm because it's that time of year, time
of the year, it tastes that would be really good
is it spicy like a... it is a spiced cider yeah with clove
and cinnamon, you'll get those warm spices
to warm you up for the season another question here
the final question uh uh now the drinks
it's fermented is it is it like sparkling water
or is it just a it is carbonated yes so there is
a little fizz to it awesome well good cool cool
cool cool witchy kombucha local drink brewed here
in the atlanta area and all over markets you can go check it out
or you can come here to the market
in the park at grant park
and get some jasmine i'll kick it back to you all right eli sounds good
