Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival

October is known as Texas Wine Month across the Hill Country, and this week the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival in Gillespie County. Fox 7 Austin's Carrie Burgess is in Gillespie County to preview one of the nation's most recognized food and wine festival events. Fredericksburg is widely known for Oktoberfest, Christmas, and all kinds of celebrations during the entire year but during the month of October it's known as Texas Wine Month in the Texas Hill Country and preparations today are underway for the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival as they continue to put things together for the big weekend event that will kick off tonight with a street dinner that is already sold out but we do have general admission available online with different booths set up from about 40 to 60 different wineries and restaurants across the Hill Country and including restaurants and live music entertainment so there's all kinds of things you can do out here at the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival and like I said activities will be ongoing on Saturday afternoon from one to five you can get your tickets at fbgfoodandwine.com and also show up at the door at the gate which is on Main Street Market Plaza in downtown Fredericksburg
