Fans flock to Moody Center for Spurs-Rockets game

Go Spurs, go! Go Spurs, go! San Antonio Spurs fans were downtown and at the Moody Center, ready to watch the tip-off against the Houston Rockets Friday night. All week, the Spurs organization held events, part of the team's I-35 series, to strengthen the Spurs fan base in the Austin community, even bringing in fans from North Texas. Every year we come by and we always leave with a handful of little neat stuff to always collect throughout the years. Fans showed up decked out in gear hoping to see a win after the Spurs' recent loss to OKC and last season's loss in the NBA Finals. So I will never give up on my team, and they haven't given up on me either. Some fans even stepping into the shoes of the Spurs' nuns, hoping to bring good luck to their team. We lost our season opener, so we thought, what is the best thing that we can contribute to our team? We show up as the nuns, we bring the good vibes, and we make sure that we win. For these fans, it's not about winning or losing. they're appreciating the moments there's something about like the small more smaller homegrown austin watch parties that just really makes you feel like a little spurs family and making memories to last a lifetime now we're engaged yeah and when we're married we'll still be coming to the spurs games you know hopefully i could keep the tradition going with the little ones
