Two Very Strong Earthquakes Pop Off July 2nd 2026!

James Kaufman, World News Report Today. Ladies and gentlemen, we have two very big earthquakes and some swarms going on. We're going to take a quick look at two of them. There were six, two over here in Indonesia. And whether or not, what we'll do is close this one. You can see that we, in the last 30 minutes, have had an aftershock of four, seven. There's no telling how many aftershocks we've had. We'll take a look at another map. North of there, near Taiwan, where the plates don't combine perfectly, or don't adjoin perfectly, we have another 6.1 magnitude earthquake. So we have the same problem here. The end of a plate boundary trying to connect to one of these plates, and here we have the end of a plate boundary trying to connect to another plate boundary. Here we're on a volcanic ridge or range, and here we're on a volcanic ridge or range. And I'm not quite sure how many aftershocks we have, but we'll take a look. Jumping over to volcanoes and earthquakes.com, there's that 6-1 up there in Japan, right on that volcanic ridge, right on that point that's on the boundary. Easy to see, because south of Japan is really part of the islands. And down here, it's a little bit south of Taiwan, we call it Indonesia. And I won't go through that. And you can see that under that, we have several volcanoes that are going off. And, well, we have two in orange. I mean, it's two minor eruptions here and here. And we have a major eruption right there. It's all part of the same magma formation. and well it looks like we'll zoom in we have two fully erupting volcanoes here um and we'll see we get the names of those that will be uh Halmahera and Siau Island let's see both of us today we have two minor eruptions in orange and we have an awakening volcano here and when we put our travel back on, we see that's where our 6.1 is. Let's see what kind of aftershocks. Wow. Talking about aftershocks, there's about 30 or 40 of them that were included in the USGS's information. This is the first official shake map with zero people reporting feeling this thing. That's going to change. I'll probably have an update for you all in just one second. Still at VolcanicDiscovery.com Still at VolcanicDiscovery.com Got 6.2 Main source USGS Now we have 23 reports We're getting updated map after this this actually put out 19 atomic bombs worth of energy that's what was released with this earthquake and i did tell you we'd find an upgraded shake map and see all the folks well it's coming out mid-level mid-level earthquake in the area surprise there's nothing to the east but a lot to the north and a lot to the west uh let's see 22 reports here sure that's increased by now they are calling out a bunch of aftershocks here above mag 2 at least 4 at 4 6 we saw it hit 35 minutes ago and we'll start with the usgs at 6 2 121 kilometers in depth germans at 6 1 123 3 kilometers of depth we've got the indonesian government six three they're right on top of it must have been stronger 104 kilometers of depth see what else we have a raspberry shake coming at 6 2 127 well around the same depth of depth uh we have the europeans coming at 6 2 18 kilometers of depth and of course the french coming in at 5.92 plus or minus 0.12 uh and let's see what else we have the italians coming in at 623 kilometers of depth plus or minus 0.2 we have well the australians coming in at 61 115 kilometers of depth what that 117 number then we have the philippines themselves coming in at a six three six three and they're not going to try to guess at depth on this one right i don't blame them now folks uh i was thinking there was no tsunami warnings we would see a buoy in our event mode just based on how big The earthquakes were released about two atomic bombs worth of energy, and we see nothing going on, no buoys in event mode whatsoever. We have a low crossing the Pacific from the Central American coast all the way over to Asia, if it makes it that far. All right, just in the last few minutes here, we've got that 5-9 up there, just south of the Russian peninsula. That's our 6-1 right there. These are our little swarms that we've got going on here. That's something that just occurred, plus that 6-2 that we've been looking at. Again, a lot of people are calling it a 6-3. A lot of people are calling it a 5-9. So it's hard to see at this point. But that's the summary of things. There's nothing else out of the ordinary that I see over the last West Coast activity, my long-lost friends activity, my Olympic activity, Anchorage activity, that are just about to finish us off for the day.
