Video Summary
AI GeneratedDense fog is currently impacting the lakeshore and metro areas, with a dense fog advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Once the fog clears, the region will experience sunny, mild weather with temperatures in the 70s, remaining dry through the weekend.
Do have to get through some pretty thick fog though this morning.
That's one of the downsides we've got going on.
But by game time, this will be long gone.
You can see some foggy conditions here at our Fox 6 studios and quite
thick fog just down the road at the Civil War Museum in Kenosha.
The time lapse here shows how that fog has
been pretty thick for the last several hours.
This has been laying across the lakeshore areas
in particular since even late yesterday afternoon, yesterday evening.
So it has been a bit of a
of a challenge right through the overnight,
and it continues to be one at this hour. Now,
visibility gets a lot better to the west,
but if you're in the metro areas, lakeside,
or, you know, more central counties there,
you're basically a quarter mile or less. Waukesha
sitting at zero visibility at the moment,
and we do have that dense fog advisory in place
right through until 10 a.m. So you know the drill, right?
Slow down, give yourself some extra time
and space be very mindful of your actual speed you don't want
to be going too fast obviously you
also don't want to be going
so slow that the guy behind you doesn't know you're in that fog and
comes up on things pretty quickly there
so just give yourself that extra time and buffer zone if
you will so that everybody is safe
on this game one world series day now big picture nothing in
the upper levels once this fog is out
of here we'll get quite a bit of sunshine throughout the
High pressure still in charge off to our east.
Warmer air is surging in from the west and southwest.
Some showers north and west of us,
but we don't expect anything in our neck of the woods.
Even as this cold front goes through, we're going to stay dry.
So let's go look ahead with Sky Vision Plus.
Now, in the short term, yes, there's quite a bit of fog,
and dry probably isn't the word that pops to mind
because it is kind of a moist-type feel
to the day with all that moisture in the air,
but no precipitation throughout the day today.
The fog lifts and sunshine throughout the afternoon
with a few late afternoon and evening cloudy periods
and we stay dry through the night tonight again as far as precipitation
on into the overnight through Friday morning might get a little bit
of patchy fog through into our Saturday morning and then it's back
to some sunshine and another very pleasant well above average day
to kick off game two and day one of our weekend.
Now, from the statewide point of view with our exclusive Fox weather
model, you do see a better chance of showers west and north,
and that's the case off and on throughout the weekend, but we stay dry.
If you are headed up north, nice long stretches of beautiful
weather there as well, but not as perfectly dry as we expect
to be right through even into Sunday night, through parts of Monday.
I don't think we'll see any
of that precipitation until maybe later in the day on Tuesday.
Now, as far as temperatures go, we should be up in the 70s today
with 60s lakeside dropping back to the 50s tonight.
Another mild day Saturday, another one on Sunday.
But then that cold front slides through and reality kicks back in.
So our Fox 6 Day Planner starts off here at 72 today,
70 tomorrow and 72 on Sunday.
Drop to 50s Monday and Tuesday, back to 60s by Wednesday
and only a slight chance of showers late Tuesday and again Wednesday.
Back to Wake Up right after this.
