And let's turn our attention now to this.
After nearly 50 years of calling Atlanta home,
the Arthritis Foundation is showing off
a new look at its national headquarters.
Our Eli Jordan is live there now.
Hey, Eli, what can you tell us and what can you show us?
Hey, Tyler.
Yeah, I mean, I did not know the national headquarters
for the Arthritis Foundation
was here in Atlanta, but it is.
And that's cool.
And, you know, they've been in this location here
in Midtown for the past 10 years.
But today they had a nice unveiling of some renovations.
And it means a lot to get your place renovated where you work.
You've got to have a nice, clean, modernized,
up-to-date workspace to have good morale and good productivity,
and that's what's going on here.
And joining me right now is the CEO
and president of the Arthritis Foundation, Steve Taylor.
Steve, thank you very much for your time today.
Yeah, absolutely. I'm glad you could join us.
You know, we've been in Atlanta,
the Arthritis Foundation, for 50 years.
We've been in this space for the last 10, and we renovated
and signed a new lease for another 10 years here in Midtown
because we just love being in Atlanta.
our national headquarters helps nationwide
with those that live with arthritis and we also have
a Georgia chapter as well and I'll walk you kind of around it
and you've got to I mean I like you
guys commissioned an artist we did we commissioned an illustrator It's Nate Now
who's all over Atlanta an artist an
illustrator designer this tells our history
of the organization we've been around since 1948
starting with doctors originally
and of course moving on to patient education and awareness
which is really critical for all
of our work making sure that patients know that they're
diagnosed with arthritis um that we're here for them
that we have resources educational materials
information and that we can connect them to physicians
and other patients um that live
with the disease too so that they can make sure they know
um the best way to live with arthritis
and you got a nice renovated uh lobby here yeah
exactly we added color to the space some new
illustrations and pictures of our patients
and those that we serve around the country
um and also add color throughout the space just
to make uh bring it up to date basically and make
sure that we can be here for another 10 years here in Midtown.
We appreciate all the partners
that helped make this possible.
And you guys have been here for 50 years. 50 years here in Atlanta,
around 75 years. And really we were founded
to help understand arthritis and invest in research
and advocacy. And then in about 50 years ago,
started expanding the patient education materials.
So we have materials that are available on arthritis.org for patients,
digital downloads,
hard copy papers, webinars, podcasts etc
that help patients live the life that they want to live
after being diagnosed with arthritis
and you guys have a new uh i guess this section here
department going on to get
your message out yeah you know coming through the hallway and jane
Wyman, an actress, she has uh suffered from arthritis
but also a major contributor to the
foundation right, Jane Wyman Arthritis Studio here
um at the Arthritis Foundation will help us
record videos and um podcasts that will help educate
and increase awareness around arthritis
and they'll help bring offerings to those that live with arthritis.
So we're able to do that in-house now.
This is a brand-new inherited space for us.
We didn't have this part of the building before.
And we're so excited to be able
to really have content regularly developed
that will help anyone that lives with arthritis as well.
Don't have to outsource anymore.
Exactly, absolutely.
Awesome.
Well, Steve Taylor, thank you so much for your time today
here at the Arthritis Foundation, and congratulations.
Tyler, that's what's been going on,
New Renovations Arthritis Foundation here in Atlanta,
the headquarters, national headquarters.
Got a nice facelift today and unveiling it.
It was good.
Back to you.
Eli, thanks so much.
We'll be checking in with you throughout the afternoon.
