And as we plan out the rest of what we have going on for today
in the next several hours and also for the weekend,
it's really smooth sailing. However, it's still going to hold
on to a bit of some breeze for us across western Connecticut.
So be prepared for things to get a bit chilly,
not even just cold, not only for tonight, but in the days ahead.
So getting into our afternoon in Norwalk,
we'll see temperatures on the surface around those lower 60s,
but it's going to feel like it's in the 50s,
not only for the rest of our afternoon and evening, but even heading
into tonight, it will feel colder than it is on the air.
and winds are going to start to just chill out heading
into the rest of our Thursday,
especially by the time we get to the overnight.
Winds will also start to subside a little bit, but, again,
be prepared for them to linger throughout our Friday morning
and then really start to weaken by the time we get to Friday night
as Josephine starts to make its way away from us even further.
Otherwise, sunshine is sticking around for us.
It's cool and breezy, gusts around 25 miles per hour,
with temperatures on the Earth's surface throughout much
of today around those 60s.
Now, heading into tonight, in general,
it's around 30 degrees, a little bit warmer,
at least not as cold, closer towards the shoreline.
So Bridgeport, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford, this is where we're going
to see those temperatures around those lower 40s.
But again, because of these winds,
it will feel like it's in the 30s for tomorrow morning.
So absolutely grab the coats and the gloves
and even the hats to start off for our Friday morning.
It's going to be on the colder side.
Heading into the next several days, of course,
we're going to talk about the weekend.
Well, Saturday and Sunday, Saturday morning,
again, it's a bit on the colder side,
but the afternoon and getting into our Sunday, which is definitely
the best day of the week, is still some of fall's finest.
We have some great fall foliage for us across Western Connecticut.
It's going to be a great weekend, especially in our afternoons,
to just be out and about and enjoy this weather
and do all the activities that we haven't been able to do just yet.
Heading into next week, we are still trending dry, not very dry.
You're not going to need the umbrellas or rain gear,
at least as of right now, for the next several days,
which is great news for us across Western Connecticut,
as I'm sure we don't really want to deal with much rainfall.
But talking about the weather in itself,
we've got to show the temperatures.
Again, tomorrow morning, you can see from Redding down to Norwalk,
it's going to feel like it's freezing,
if not even near freezing, even colder for areas to the north.
Not as bad for our Friday afternoon,
but then Saturday morning, we'll see sweeping 20s
so make sure you prepare for the cold that's ahead
