Con Edison employee from Rockland County fatally shot while driving on GWB

That's right. Well, we now know that police tell us that the victim of that deadly gunfire on the top level of the George Washington Bridge Tuesday night was a 46 year old driver. They are now working to piece together what led up to that attack. I'll take a look. This is a crime scene that unfolded just after 7 p.m. on the top level of the bridge. You can see a dark car with its rear window shattered with what appears to be a bullet hole nearby. An evidence marker laid out on the westbound lane of the bridge heading into New Jersey. Port Authority sources tell us they were responding to a crash on the top deck of the GWB when they found the driver with a gunshot wound. Police confirmed the injury was to the driver's right shoulder. He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly didn't make it. Now, the victim's identity is being withheld at this time until the family is notified. Now, at this hour as well, police have not shared a description of who they are searching for, and they say no arrests have been made so far. That's the latest here reporting by the George Washington Bridge in Washington Heights. Jonathan Calixto, News 12.
