James Talarico challenges Ken Paxton to debate on TMZ

Paxton, the Republican candidate in the Texas race for U.S. Senate claims he is willing to debate his Democratic opponent, James Tallarico. Tallarico's been challenging Paxton to a televised debate for months. Paxton talked to TMZ Monday about what's been holding him back. Do you want to debate him? Like, do you have the desire to or not? Look, if the terms were right, I'd have no problem. What are your terms? So in terms of debating, I don't wanna end up with the CNN reporter covering the debate. So I don't know what all the terms are, but I do know I don't want a CNN reporter covering our debate, which initially was talked about. Last thing, Trump said a couple weeks ago that you're ready, willing, and able to debate. Is that still true? Yeah, it's always true. Tallarico had offered to do it, a debate on Fox News. Early this morning, TMZ talked with James Tallarico about this whole debate issue. He had a new idea of where to have it. Y'all at TMZ got to talk with Ken Paxton earlier about his refusal to debate. And he said something about he doesn't want to do it on CNN. But I actually challenged him to do it on Fox News, on his home turf, in his safe space. But maybe, this is now just occurring to me, maybe TMZ should host this debate. You seem to get a hold of Ken Paxton easier than most journalists do. So, all right, so you're in, you can be the moderator, all right, you go find him. All right, no response from Paxton's campaign, this is even something the president has brought up as we know.
