Klyde Warren Park to host sixth-annual Halloween celebration

I was watching that like this. I can't, like, just the jump scares and the creepiness. We are going to continue on this trick-or-treating or this Halloween trend, if you will. You are invited to a free event at Clyde Warren Park. This, to me, as we are joined by the president and CEO of the park, Calvert Collins Breton, this, to me, seems like the perfect place to celebrate Halloween. We love Clyde Warren Park. We always love all the events that you guys do. to do a maybe not so scary like that halloween thing maybe more the maybe more the family friendly halloween stuff will be at clyde warren park that is correct lauren no jump scares i'm pretty sure we can promise you that uh very family friendly uh free let's start there beautiful weather on saturday night a safe fun clean place to come in your costume so adults kids four-legged friends I should say you should clarify a canine costume contest I have what we'll have this is our sixth year in a row for this trick-or-treat event in the park 20,000 people came last year really and then we're topping it off with a movie in the park to start a little after 7 o'clock showing Toy Story 5 which I've not seen it it's adorable and so it should be a really a fun safe lots of candy thanks to Kroger we have get this 125,000 pieces of candy and they will go quick although it is organized we have lots of tables and volunteers manning the table so I'll be helping pass out candy and roping my kids in to do the same and so it's very organized you go you know table to table to pick up candy so it's fun and just a great place to celebrate community as well and And, you know, I enjoy, I think, getting out into the park. There's so many different things to do. And then when you host a big event like this, you see so many faces turn out. I heard Toy Story, with the movie that you're going to be showing, Toy Story actually one of the biggest Halloween costumes of the year. I wouldn't be surprised. We'll see some Woody's. Some Buzz's, some Jessie. Jessie gets a starring role in Toy Story 5. And I bet we will see a lot of Toy Story characters. We've got food trucks that will be open all night. So in addition, if you've saturated your candy, then you want some more substantive food, then we've got that for you. But it starts at 5 o'clock. 5 to 7 is the kind of trick-or-treating and costume contest. And then we transition onto the East Lawn. So bring a blanket or a chair and just pop it up right there in front of the giant screen for movies. There's ice cream. Not that parents want to hear that. I was like, well, maybe we should have some other adult beverages for the parents while the kids are running around on a sugar high. But it's fun. It's safe. It's family friendly. Dogs are welcome. So come bring your Halloween spirit to Clyde Bourne Park this Saturday. Do you have your costume picked out? No. Not yet. I'm going to see what happens to arrive on my front porch later this week. Okay. And your girls ready? They're ready for Halloween. My kids have been asking since August. So we are well prepared. Well prepared. I love that. Again, this is free as far as parking and stuff goes. I'm assuming, you know, utilize the parking garages at DART if you can. Absolutely. So there are garages all the way around the park, the Dallas Museum of Art. There are multiple different parking options. Yes, you can take the McKinney Avenue trolley that comes right to, drops you right at Olive Street and the park. So fun different ways. All right. It is Saturday. Again, activities start at 5 o'clock. The movie starts at 7.15, goes till 9. We have all the details on our website, fox4news.com. Thank you so much. Happy Halloween. Happy Halloween.
