2026 Week 8: Bowie vs Dripping Springs

Well, District 26-6A is essentially on the line. No disrespect to the rest of the district, but this crown belongs to either Dripping Springs or Bowie. The Tigers and Bulldogs, both 5-1 overall, as expected, undefeated in district play coming into this one. Drip strikes first. Frank Aseta takes this one, cuts back left, and he just outruns everybody for the 47-yard touchdown. Tigers up 7-0 early, but Bowie ties it up after Drip's receiver falls down there. Nico Barnett intercepts it, takes it to the house for the pick six. That makes it a seven-all ball game. Early second quarter, Tigers go back on top. Chase Ames gets it out to Judah Satterfield. Stretches across the goal line for the score. Drip up 14-7 at that point. A little later, Aceta back to work. Makes a guy miss there on his way in for the 21-yard score. Giving the Tigers a 21-7 lead midway through the second. They led it by 21 at the break, and in the third quarter, Dripping Springs up big, 42-7.
