-Favorite interaction from "SNL 50th"?
I will say --
So, the weirdest thing about "SNL 50th," for me,
is it's like this part of my life
that's like a very long time ago and also
100 feet from here.
Like, so, it's very strange because, like, my past
is, like, adjacent to my present
in a way that is very physically strange.
Like, if you keep walking down the hall that way,
you get to "SNL," and I almost never do.
Like, it's almost like there's an invisible force field.
Because Amy Poehler, who left "SNL"
a couple of years before me,
explained it in the best possible way,
which is when she came back when we were doing a show.
She's like, "Just so you know, when you come back,
it's not that much fun.
You feel like a ghost in the house you grew up in.
And, like, people are just, like, walking through you
and doing their own thing."
But I will say that it was really hot in the studio
that night, and I would just like --
At commercial breaks, I would get up
and I would, like, walk over here
and I would just, like, grab waters.
Like, everybody --
Like, cause nobody else could do anything, right?
And it's like the most famous people in the world.
Like, none of them have, like, sat for 3.5 hours.
And I just get water and I would, like,
come up and hand them out to people.
And they were like, "Oh, my God, thanks."
And the best, I gave one to Keith Richards,
who I'd never met.
And I was like, "Hey, Keith, do you need water?"
He's like, "Aye, mate. Thanks." And I was just like...
So, like, the highlight for me
was giving water to Keith Richards.
