Well, we're tracking a cold front moving
into central Florida this weekend.
We could see winds up to 40 miles an hour before that,
then a big drop in temperature,
so says meteorologist Noah Bergeron.
And I know everyone's wondering, when we say big drop in temperature.
Believe me, Hannah, it'll put you in the fall vibe.
Will it?
Yes.
Okay, and is it going to stick around?
For all next week, yeah.
You mean she's going to get the boots and the pumpkin spice out?
Hannah, the boots, the jackets, the pumpkin candles, the pumpkin food.
It is time.
I don't like the pumpkin food.
I don't like the pumpkin candles,
but I love the sweaters and the boots.
Well, we made it.
Everybody gets all on the razzmatazz about the pumpkin.
Just pumpkin seeds.
That's all you need.
Razzmatazz.
I don't need pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin yogurt.
Or you pumpkin this.
The razzmatazz of it all.
Just one fall.
Random food.
Let's put pumpkin in it.
No, we don't need that.
Just the basics.
We'll just stick to the basics.
Yeah, yeah.
What do we need pumpkin yogurt for?
All right, there's the view outside right now.
You can see some showers down in South Florida.
We've got some more rain here in the eastern Gulf.
This is not the cool front yet.
That comes through during the midday hours tomorrow.
Some bigger moisture down to the south of us.
We'll see if some of that action works up
towards Orlando here in a couple of hours.
But west of the city right now,
we're tracking a couple of showers for your Friday evening.
Really big lightning storms down by Sebring
and in southern Polk County.
These are really big storms for mid-October standards.
But notice how some of these are trying to work north.
We'll see if they end up making it towards Kissimmee
or St. Cloud in about two hours or so from now.
But here locally, we've got a good downpour
in the villages in Leesburg.
That's drifting slowly towards the Eustis area.
We've got some showers building south of Claremont.
These probably are going to hold together
at least close to the theme parks, maybe Claremont,
in about an hour, hour and a half or so from now.
You can zoom in and see a couple
of showers here in Leesburg, Fruitland Park.
No lightning for now, but we'll keep an eye
on that aspect here for the next little while.
All right, so the front is not here yet.
It comes through probably late morning, midday tomorrow.
As soon as it comes by, it gets really windy and a lot cooler.
Temperatures right now statewide are still in the 80s
with the exception of Pensacola, where right now it is 77.
Here at home, 89 in Claremont, 87 in the Villages, 84 in Orlando,
81 in New Smyrna, 81 in Palm Coast, and 84 right now in Cocoa Beach.
All right, so the hot weather today,
it still feels like it's in the 90s.
In fact, I don't know,
I don't know the next time it's going to feel this hot.
I spent a couple minutes today,
looked through the weekly forecast models.
Looks like a cooler than average stretch
the next two or so weeks, two, three weeks.
So if you love this hot weather or the hotter weather,
I hope you made the most of today.
You've got a few more hours left.
I can't tell you the next time we'll be this hot again.
It might be actually quite a while.
All right, so wind gusts tomorrow,
about 20 to 30 or so miles an hour afternoon and evening.
But it's really Sunday is the day that we really crank up the winds,
especially during the midday and the afternoon hours.
From the east-northeast, 30 to 40.
A couple of gusts will get up in the 45
or even slightly higher mile-an-hour range
on the immediate beaches,
and that's going to kick up a huge amount of surf.
Look at how fast this increases Saturday afternoon.
And then this is Sunday, 5 to 10 feet, maybe a little higher,
reaching the beaches and then offshore 15 feet or so.
and that will carry us into early next week as well.
So here's your Saturday futurecast.
Waking up, don't forget, start your Saturday with a good day Orlando.
We'll have TJ and Hannah here with you,
and they'll be waking up with you
with some clouds and a couple of showers,
but nothing severe, just kind of a little gloomy,
sprinkly, showery start to your Saturday.
Front goes by, then the winds come out of the north.
Still kind of cloudy around Orlando through 5.
Maybe some sun peeking out areas north and west,
like The Villages of Gainesville by late afternoon tomorrow.
But believe me, it's going to feel fall vibes for sure.
By the evening tomorrow, you'll be probably reaching for a long sleeve
if you're stepping out tomorrow.
All right, so temperature is going to be actually well below average
for the next few days, 70s for highs Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Temperatures will rise back into the low 80s
by the middle of next week, Jack.
It's going to be a nice weekend, though, Noah. Thank you.
