Black and White Photography - "Thomas Brain" | Photographer Platform

Thomas Brain's photographic interest started as a teenager. Thoughts of going to a photography school vanished with his limited savings. At the same time Uncle Sam wanted him to spend some time together. Part of his duties in the service did involve film documentary.
After the service, photography was a constant, nagging draw.
In Brain's own words : "For some reason I have always had a think "outside the box" approach. Books have taught us the rules and the "correct" way. What if, "I try this," was always a blinking sign to me.
By much experimentation, I realized that I could achieve "Light Painting" on flower blooms. That path would open to years of on the road Art Shows across the country. Lots of challenging work and tons of fun.
Looking back through all those years, black and white photography has been sprinkled in. Now, monochrome lets me have fun and think "outside the box" once again. The freedom of black and white photography is very addictive.
