GUR special forces of Ukraine neutralized two Russian military intelligence groups. During the counter-sabotage operation, one Russian special forces soldier was captured. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that members of the "Timur Special Forces" attacked the enemy, setting up an ambush. These were servicemen from the 10th Separate Guards Special Forces Brigade of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. Ukrainian intelligence officers determined the composition of the groups and their routes using intelligence, including from enemy encirclement, and technical reconnaissance equipment. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), the 10th Brigade is a Russian military intelligence unit that participated in the wars against Georgia and Ukraine, as well as in Russia's campaign in Syria. Separately, the GUR cited the overall results of the actions of the "Timur Special Forces" during the operation in the Zaporizhzhia direction: 448 irreparable enemy losses and 85 prisoners. These figures apply to the entire operation in the direction, and not just to the ambush of two special forces groups. It was also reported that Artan's attack aircraft outflanked the occupiers and struck from the flank, winning the battle near Liman. As it turns out, according to the command plan, while units of the Third Army Corps attacked Russian Army positions from the front, assault aircraft from the Artan unit outflanked the enemy and attacked from the flank. As Artan attack aircraft pilot with the call sign "Derun" reported in an interview with Yasa Lepka on " Novosti Live ," his unit in the Liman direction drew off Russian forces, thereby weakening the enemy's concentration in front of the Third Army Corps. According to "Derun," he expected the battlefield to be a scorched wasteland, but it turned out differently. The "Artan" men had plenty of trees, bushes, forest plantations, and dilapidated buildings for cover and concealed movement. " After disembarking from the armored fighting vehicle, our group came under intense mortar fire, and drone strikes were constant. As a result, we acquired the '300th,' which, unfortunately, after a long time became the '200th.' We were unable to evacuate it in time ," the soldier admitted. The scout added that Artan managed to find cover, but adjacent units were unable to quickly approach and assist with the evacuation. Subsequently, military reconnaissance personnel managed to penetrate the enemy's rear, dislodging them from their fortified positions, and advancing their defensive line. "Derun" emphasized that the main difficulty was the lack of time: approximately 15 minutes were allocated to storm each fortification, after which a drone strike would be launched on the location.
