How To Replace A Faulty Pressure Switch

Hey guys Today is college football Saturday. Y'all forgive me. I did not put out a video yesterday. I was Not doing very well. Let's just say it that way. I think there's a stomach bug going around and it found me The video I have for you is a call. I went to not long ago. I came back just to replace the pressure switch so That's what this is. This is a pressure switch that failed And then what I did to fix it. Stay tuned Okay, these are my two pressure switch wires that are bypassed right here. I have them tied together I'm gonna show you how I'm gonna test them to show you that it's open and Would prevent that contactor from coming on first. I'm gonna put my meter over here on ohms select That means it's gonna beep When the circuit is closed and these two wires right here as you see are Open that is my pressure switch So we need to get to our pressure switch change it and then reconnect that Very well might be down here somewhere Okay, the pressure switch that we need to change is that one that's where those yellow wires go to Don't forgive me that took just a little bit Go ahead and cut those get those out of the way now if we're lucky this right here is going to have a Schrader behind it if we're not I'll need to tell you what might happen All right. I am going to put a Backup wrench on that And start praying. Oh Thank you. Oh my That is good news. I was not sure there was gonna be a Schrader down there And now I know thank you. Raymond Ruth for putting one of those on there Know when you call your supplier and you tell them you need the pressure switch that goes with This right here You got to be specific This is what they sent me That is a pressure switch But obviously not the right kind So I went to my United refrigeration This is what I bought it opens at 610 psi and Has a manual reset That's what I'm gonna put on If I can get this off There we go Right there and that's got a flare Fitting right there now I'm gonna Put just a little bit of nylog on it Rub that around to the edge And get this started now next time if this I Need to get ready for that next time it pops off if the condenser fan motor quits. It's gonna blow that little switch It is manual reset Trying to make sure I do this where y'all can see it That might be all she needs. I'm gonna check with bubble search Hook up my wires and we'll be done. I Don't see no bubbles No bubbles, no troubles Okay, it would be beneficial if I tie those out of the way like that. Let me get a couple zip ties Tell you what it is already fighting me a little bit Okay, I was purposely trying to um Make my wire nuts point up Make sure that's not already tripped. I think This one might get I'm gonna do that same test with my meter Now that switch is closed I've got some more work to do here Some of it. I need to get ready for I just did not want to leave this switch the way it was You know That's just asking for problems Bypassing the safety. I only did it So I could get them some cooling until I could get back Now we are ready to go. So these People that are here right now did not want to answer the door so I couldn't get to the thermostat To turn it on Might not be might be some children in there without adults or something but They would not come to it.
