In today’s video, I visit a new customer that was complaining about a very loud noise when their air conditioner was running. In fact, the customer shows me a video of her air conditioner doing just that at the very beginning. What I found and what I repaired didn’t seem to have anything to do with the noise, but it fixed it. What I actually found instead of something hitting the fan blade, which is what it sounded like was that the time delay was causing the contactor to lose voltage and jump in and out. I fixed that, and in the process I checked out the condenser fan motor and remounted it. Fixing these things cause the system to run properly and I didn’t hear the fan blade hitting anything.
