The creator provides a comprehensive walkthrough of their end-to-end video production workflow, from transferring raw footage from a GoPro to the final publication on YouTube. The process emphasizes the use of specific tools for editing, SEO optimization, and thumbnail creation to ensure high-quality, clickable content.
Hey guys today is basically a rain day.
I was able to get one of my calls done and it was
kind of interesting but today's video is going to be different.
I'm going to show you my process from
uploading the videos
to my computer
and y'all say hello
I'm going to show you the whole process from uploading to editing
and what we have to do
to Riley over there.
to get them uploaded on to YouTube the way we
do and I'm going to try to do it using screen
recording on my computer here so y'all stick with me.
I hope this is something you'll find
interesting. Here we go.
Okay I had to turn off the radio
because I don't want
a copyright strike.
First I'm going to show you how I get the video to my computer.
And this is the new Mission One GoPro.
I tried the DJI, didn't really like it, no problems.
Pull out your memory card.
And for most people, we have to put it in an adapter.
I'm gonna show you the next step.
Back here, I know my desk is a mess, don't say anything.
Back here, I have, this is the Apple card reader.
We're going to let
that pull up,
and once it does, I'm gonna start recording my screen.
Basically, this is what it looks like
You open Final Cut Pro and you put in your memory card.
This is what you see.
I am selecting the videos that were from the
short call today to upload into Final Cut
Pro.
And here, what I'm doing, I have an open project in Final Cut Pro.
I'm finding the videos.
They are a little bit mixed up in order.
I've had problems with that.
I'm finding the videos and putting them in order.
This is not always the case. It's usually already
in order. You just click on the first one and then the last one,
drag them all down,
and put them into place.
But with this one I had to verify which one was which, where it went,
and get them all in order,
and put together basically the video in order.
In Final Cut Pro, in my project, basically I'm piecing it together.
This whole thing will be pieced together as sections over and over.
Okay, so that's the basics of me putting the video together.
What I'm going to do now is show you the video
and I'm going to go outside and record my
outro.
And then we're going to put that in the final video
and I'm going to show you the steps
finalizing the video just reviewing it
and uploading it and then i'm going to go through
the process of what we have to do on youtube
to make it a good thumbnail and i'm going to show
you the whole thing but right now you're fixing to see the video
and then we're going to go over
the next i am pretty sure this customer called
and said that uh oh it wasn't cooling very well
she is not here right now
we're going to have a
solid block of ice up top
I'm waiting for the customer to get here.
so basically
this one system
was completely
frozen up and this is
what i found i need
to clean that
out i
might
have
to take
the
whole
thing
out
this
filter
grill
is a 30
by 20
which
means
the
hinges
are on the 30 side she needs a 20 by 30
so that the hinges can
be on the 20 side it would make it
much easier to take the grill off and clean it
and it might make it easier for her to change the
you know filter grills this big can be hard to hang
because they start to flex when you get them
in place.
right now
if this
thing is
functioning
properly
it should
not come on.
the lady was
saying it was running
when it should not be but that thermostat was turned on.
so yeah i'm gonna advise
her to just keep it shut off for a little while.
this is a heat pump so we can thaw it out
but i've been getting rained on so
we're just gonna leave it like
this if she has trouble we'll come back. that looks much better.
Basically, this is an unfinished video.
I couldn't finish to upload it. So, recording in 4K,
but as you see me, I am exporting right here in 1080p.
That allows me to zoom in and then save it to my computer.
without losing any pixels as long as I'm saving in 1080p.
It will be saved in 1080p and uploaded in 1080p.
And over here in the left corner you can see
that it's sharing that means it's
saving it to my computer and then once I have it saved
it's 100% I can come over here to my YouTube
studio find the video it's in my photos here
click on it
And it automatically starts uploading the video
while I'm entering the details.
And I'm going to show you the process of entering the details.
Here I am just coming up basically with like a random title,
descriptive title that might
be clickable.
We're going to change this in just a second.
This is like brainstorming ideas right here.
And adding in all these details.
So in a second, I do use a service that helps me with YouTube and AI.
It's called TubeBuddy.
These are what I put in the description in every video.
It's in my notes. It's already saved. All
I have to do is copy and paste it right here
and then the additional stuff I add at the bottom. If
I want to add in a description of the video, I can do that too.
I'm adding my tags right here.
Right here, these are the...
People I normally tag in my videos.
I'm being very open about all that and um there we go.
Yeah those are a couple of my buddies Jake
and Rick and then I put this on playlists.
Only two different playlists on this one
and wait a minute I might do tech tips so
we'll add tech tips to it. Scroll down.
Does not have a paid promotion.
I did not use AI. These are
Tags that I use on my videos
when I'm uploading them that most people never see.
You have to use some special software to see these tags.
These help tell Google what the video is about and who it's for.
Fill that in.
And this right here is particularly important.
I'm adding in where I live and work.
So my video appears to local people.
I do not allow remixing,
it is education and it is a real life experience.
Save that.
We go to monetization.
Look at all these clicks all over the page.
Scroll down.
No, nothing controversial.
Submit my rating.
Next.
And there we go.
We can continue on and I'm going to save this as private
because I'm going to have to add
this to the video and it is uploading.
It is already loading.
Very well on the way to being completely uploaded.
This part, I am actually grabbing a screen grab,
a couple of them, to use for a thumbnail.
I'm looking for a moment to stop in the real video.
That would have been a good one.
But I'll grab this right here, put it down.
Because it's on YouTube already, the picture is already 16x9,
and that's why I'm getting the picture from.
I am watching my uploaded video,
grabbing screen grabs to make a thumbnail,
and in a minute I'm going to be going after some pictures,
and I'm going to cut out the part that shows my pictures.
I'm making that a 16x9 again, or something close to it.
We'll go back to that one, and I'll show you.
Save those to Photos and then I open up PixArt.
PixArt is the app that I use to edit photos.
Alright, I'm going to go after a photo here
and try to show you my process of putting together a thumbnail.
You can put a photo on top of a photo and letters
and words and remove backgrounds on photos.
This one just, I couldn't figure out how
to fit this into a thumbnail.
I'm going back and I'm starting over.
And I'm going back with the other photo I took,
cropping it to 16 by nine, right there in PixArt.
And then I can use that pink button at the bottom
to remove background.
And I have just a picture of me
that I can put over the top of this other picture,
anywhere I want.
I can make it a little bit bigger,
stretch it out, put it in the corner.
And then I'm gonna overlay my logo in the bottom left corner.
Right there, I'm doing that by adding photo,
which I just don't want to show you my photos.
And now I'm adding text.
I'll show you part of the process of adding text and putting it over
the top of a picture that you're editing in PixArt or a thumbnail.
All of this I'm doing through PixArt right here.
You can sometimes see where I'm clicking with my fingers.
Watch exactly what I'm doing.
I'm picking a style of writing that I like.
And now I'm going to pick a color and then we're going to do outline.
It's a highlight on this bottom here.
I was kind of looking for it and then I click on it and there you go.
I'm going to move it to where I want it to the right size. Apply.
Get that over there. And then you just hit the downward arrow
and it saves it to your photo.
Come back over to your Google Chrome in studio,
open, and I saved this to my computer now.
I sent it to my computer.
We're going to add, hold on a sec, we're going to change this title.
I told you we'd come back to it.
This is basically AI through TubeBuddy
giving you clickable suggestions.
And I'm just going to accept that one.
And now we're going to come down here and change, add a thumbnail.
You can do all this through Studio on your iPad as well.
It should be in Photos.
It was in Downloads, I'm sorry.
So the thumbnail is now there.
We just need to save it.
There we go, that is saved.
And we're going to add the end screen as our store
and a couple of links for everything else.
Check the settings, save it.
Now, what y'all might see actually may be a little bit different,
but that is the process.
That is basically...
How it's done. Okay, so clearly that video
was not done before I could upload it. So I'm having
to add this to the end of that video
and redo everything that y'all just saw me doing that last
little section. That is it.
That is basically how I upload my videos, how I edit them, and it shows
just how easy it is.
And then upload them to YouTube and put in all the details. I have most
Most of the stuff already.
Saved in my notes.
Real easy.
I need to go back through this and make
sure I haven't revealed anything private.
But hey, that's it.
It's much easier than what a lot of people think.
I hope you enjoyed the video.
If you did, Riley and I really appreciate it.
And we ask you to give us a thumbs up.
Check out the store in the corner.
All that good stuff.
And I'll catch you on the next one.
