Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, commander of the Third Army Corps, met with a group of Russian soldiers captured during Operation Vivaldi. Troika published exclusive footage on its official Facebook channel. The Russians complained to the general about massive losses and a lack of supplies. One said he'd tasted porridge for the first time while in captivity. Another soldier claimed to have lost 60 kg while stationed at the front. "We had no water, we had to drink from puddles, we had to drink urine. One died of dehydration. We had no food. We had to eat tree bark and grass. We ate nettles... Here in captivity, for the first time in a month and a half, I ate a proper meal. We had no medicine... Our command forgot about us; we were expendable to them... There was no way to retreat. They simply sent us to be wiped out... Die, but come back," the occupiers said. One of the prisoners died in captivity - he was too exhausted from hunger, and they did not have time to give him help. Biletsky told Russian soldiers that captivity was a "lucky ticket" for them. "You've drawn a lucky ticket... You're lucky. I'll be honest, in two months things will be much worse here than they are today... Those of you who are smarter will try to wait this out in Ukrainian captivity," the general said.

Media reviously reported that the Russian army is surrendering en masse to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas: without supplies, the Russians are drinking urine. The Russian Z-channel "Speaks the Leadership" reports on the dire situation facing Russian troops on the front lines. The author attributes the soldiers' capture to a lack of communication and supply problems, and complains about a shortage of drones. Russian troops have been stuck in their positions for days without water, with some having been forced to drink their own urine. Drones capable of delivering food and water are also in short supply. "There's no communication, no logistics, no drones that could drop even food and water onto the position. The guys have been sitting for days without water, many have already tasted their own urine, and I'm not exaggerating! [...] Not components, not drones, not suppressors. They say shoot down the FIPs with ammo," the author of the publication writes. The report also claims that units are receiving ammunition instead of the necessary equipment. The author criticizes proposals to dispense with drones and their suppression systems, relying instead on tanks and soldiers trained for assault operations. He has specific complaints about the foundations that raise money to support Russian troops: from his perspective, he hasn't seen any results from their assistance. He estimates that those responsible for supply are afraid to report shortages to their superiors, and the consequences are reflected in personnel losses.
