Six signs of colorectal cancer you should never ignore.

Number one. Blood in stools. This could be bright red or altered blood, depending on the site of the tumor. If the stools are tarry black in color, it indicates bleeding from a higher level such as the stomach or duodenum.

Number two. Changes in bowel habits. This includes ongoing diarrhea, constipation, or stools becoming unusually narrow.

Number three. Persistent abdominal pain or cramping. especially when it is unexplained or recurrent.

Number four. Unexplained weight loss. Losing weight without changing your diet or activity level can be a warning sign.

Number five. Persistent fatigue or weakness. Slow blood loss from the bowel can cause iron deficiency anemia and fatigue.

Number six. Tenesmus.

A feeling of incomplete evacuation following defecation.

These symptoms can have many causes, but if they persist or recur, it is important to seek medical advice.
