Russia continues to create impossible conditions for residents of the occupied Oleshky district in the Kherson region to receive aid. Local residents are deprived of access to food, drinking water, and medical care and are unable to leave the village, as Russian occupiers have blocked and mined everything around them. Some families have already reported cases of people eating dogs. This is stated in the material of "Ukrainska Pravda" . "A few days ago, I heard for the first time that there are indeed cases of individual families eating dogs. A week ago, I denied this information, but now someone from there confirmed it to me. In fact, there's nothing to eat. The situation isn't just worsening by the day—it's worsening by the hour," said Tatyana Gasanenko, head of the Oleshky City Military Administration. According to her, people trapped in the occupied city have virtually no choice: they risk either dying of hunger or being shot if they try to leave the city.
Volunteers report that previously, people who were left completely without food were admitted to the local hospital, where they were fed what they could, but now even there there is not enough food. In turn, the son of the man who remained in Oleshky said that the hospital was "divided into two clans": those loyal to the Russian regime have some food, while the people they call "Ukraine lovers" have nothing. Andrey Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, also commented on the situation in Oleshky, criticizing international organizations for their weak response to the events in Oleshky. "It's so convenient to pity those who don't fight back against murderers. And when the victim starts killing the murderer in return—how dare they do such a thing—you can turn a blind eye. A blind eye to the crimes in Oleshky, a blind eye to the genocide during the occupation, a permanent blind eye. No one even thought to send a mission and try to deliver food to the territory temporarily controlled by the Russian Federation. The Red Cross? The UN? Pathetic, the old world is pathetic. Ordinary, inflated swindlers on salaries, with guaranteed seaside vacations and Christmas. And with artificial smiles, who still think their world order is alive," he wrote.
Ukrainian marines are attempting to deliver food and medicine to residents of the occupied village of Oleshky on the left bank of the Kherson region using drones. Each such mission carries significant risks, according to the 34th Separate Marine Brigade "Borysfen." On the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, civilians are experiencing shortages of basic necessities. Ukrainian troops are carefully planning drone routes, as Russian occupiers are hunting for drones and may attack those collecting their supplies. One of the servicemen, born in Oleshky, described the risks of such operations: "Every flight of a delivery aircraft could be a one-way mission."
