In this video I test, and review the Cafovidia C8 Air Duster. The craziest air duster, vacuum, flash light, strobe light, window breaker with a magnetic base and this sweet belt clip holster that I have ever seen.
Hi, I'm Mike with House on the Mend, and this is the craziest air duster, vacuum, strobe light,
flashlight, window breaker with a magnetic base and this sweet belt flip that I have ever seen.
This is the Caffovidia C8. House on the Mend. So rumor has it, the kid from the Goonies and
the dad from the Gremlins got together and made this $32 air duster, and I'm all about it. Now,
I've reviewed a lot of things in my time, but every once in a while something comes along that
makes me go, whoa, what is that? I mean, calling this an air duster is like calling your Leatherman
a pocket knife. Let's zoom in a little closer. Let me break down all of the accessories that
go onto it, where they go, so you can get every one of those bits of functionality I discussed,
and then we're going to put it through some tests. All right, I admit it, I cheated a little
using this to film that cleaning portion, but I couldn't resist. Okay, let's get all the pieces out.
So we have underneath, we have a very nice bag. It is kind of a rubberized bag. We have
a little brush, and that brush is going to be to get in here and clean the vacuuming portion.
Then we have the nozzle on the unit, and we have three more besides that. There's this kind of
flat one here, like a wider round one, and then a very tight one here. I think these also could be
good candidates for sticking into inflatable pool toys and getting those inflated as well.
Then this, this is awesome. I'll show you this in a second. That's the window breaker. All right,
here is the unit itself. It comes with this really cool holster. Look at this. It's got all these
chrome screws going into it to hold the various pieces together rather than just injection molding
it. They made it look tougher and cooler like that. It's basically an open base, and then this
little clamp you can go either way, so it's ambidextrous. That is awesome. Now check out all
the features on here. You have the power button here for the arrow points to this light and to
this light. Then you have the power button here, and that is for an on and off for the blower.
Then this dial here, up and down. Now it doesn't click each time. It is just like a sweeping dial,
almost like say a RC car joystick, and that is for the strength of the fan. Lowest setting,
and our crazy setting. I've never seen something, whoa, settle down, so powerful. All right, now
to change the nozzles on the front, you have a little twist and remove, so it's not even a quarter
twist. It's like a 16th twist, and it comes right off, and then you can grab any other one you want,
and you can put it any of four ways simply by putting it in and giving it that kind of 16th
of a twist. Super easy. Same for the vacuum attachment, except instead of the blower,
you have to turn it around to the suction side, and you click that on. Now when it's time to clean
this filter in here, you twist off the clear plastic vacuum attachment the same way,
and you can just pull out, dump everything out in a garbage can, and if you're getting really
colluded, you can take the included brush and scrape everything out. The one thing I will say
is when you start vacuuming things, just notice there is no captive baffle or anything inside of
this vacuum, so anything that you suck up if you turn the power off is free to just run right out.
So you're going to need to suck all the stuff that you want, say off of a keyboard
or in my 3D printer here in a moment, and then turn it upright like this before you turn the
power off so you don't lose all that material. All right, let's go back to crazy town. So let's
take this nozzle, the one that comes on it, and let's look at this three-pronged devil. This is
the glass breaker or window breaker if you're carrying it in your car. Now this is threaded.
It's kind of a very light metal. So we take this cone portion, you slip it through this nozzle
until you see all the threads coming out. Then you screw on
the window breaker, and now we've gone from a nice gentle little tool
to something out of a Mad Max movie. That is awesome. Maybe we'll be able to get over to a
junkyard or something and try that out. Let's go over the lights next. So one press of the light
brings you to the front. If you hit it again, it goes to a lighter, like a dimmer mode, and then
the third time makes it a strobe light. Now if you let it go for a while and then hit the button
at any of those settings, it'll turn the power off. So if you're wanting to make one of those
adjustments, just make sure it's fairly rapid succession, otherwise it won't turn off.
Now same thing, a long press this time will turn on this more of a floodlight. Press and hold,
there it comes. Second button dims it down a little, and then the third press turns it red.
Another press turns it to a strobe light of red. These three blue LEDs right here
are your battery life indicator. Starting from the bottom, two, three, four is fully charged.
Out of the package, it was down one bar or one dot, but another cool feature is it is
charged with USB-C. So any place in your house you have a USB-C cable, you can charge this guy.
Now as if that wasn't enough, there is one more feature we need to go over, and that is these four
rare earth magnets right at the bottom of the stand. So you can magnet that, stick that to
anything that is metal, such as my toolbox back here. It's going to be out of focus.
Now one thing to note, however, with the magnets is it does not easily grip this way. You have a
cantilever effect, so all this weight is pushing down with gravity and working against those four
magnets, so it's not uncommon for it to fall right off of there. You might have more luck turning it
this way if you want to use this flashlight pointing downward, but going like this, it's
going to fall off. I think these are meant to be magnetized upright and then you can turn on
either of the lights. Interesting.
It sure gets dusty out here unloading hay. Let's try a bigger one.
Well, how about that? We tested everything except breaking a window. I didn't have a chance to get
over to like a junkyard or something like that before it was time to post this video,
but what did you think? Give me a thumbs up if you like this video and found it helpful.
Also leave a comment below. Is there something else you'd like me to see do with this in a
YouTube short or something like that? I'm going to leave a link to the CAFO video,
C8, in the description below. Full disclosure, that will be an Amazon affiliate link,
so if you click on it and end up making any kind of purchase, it won't cost you a thing,
but I do get a small reward at the end of the month. I'd like to thank CAFOVIDIA for sending
me this, and please, the next crazy eight-in-one thing you come out with, I hope I'm your first
reviewer. Until next time, thank you for watching. That'll work, huh? Yeah.
