Hi there, traders.
This is Brad Goodwill with today's Trading Action.
All right, as we come into the Asia session for Friday,
just be aware, we do have poor trading conditions
at the moment.
Now, there's a few weird things going on, right?
There's, I know, if you look at the news,
Trump was actually, I saw a headline
that Trump was gonna give out a trillion dollars
to Americans, right?
This is pre the mid elections, midterm elections.
So that is just crazy, right?
What is a little bit weird, and you know things are off,
ECB were 100% guaranteed to raise rates.
What they have come out with, though,
is a plan to keep raising rates, right?
And when that happens, right,
you should see, like, the euro go up, right?
Had a little bit of a blip,
but then it's a bit of a dog's breakfast, right?
What we're seeing, I think, ahead of the US CPI numbers
is a bit of dollar squaring, okay?
They're buying some dollars back.
It's been under pressure all week.
And you look across the board, it's not easy, right?
Because we're trying to look for those easy trades
where everything sort of just makes sense.
Check out the treasuries, right?
They are through the roof.
But the dollar hasn't gone far.
And look at the majors, like the major currency pairs.
Everything's going up.
How is that possible, right?
Because the dollar is one side of the equation,
and these aren't all quoted the same.
So to me, this is a real, like, stand back and wait, right?
Wait for the opportunities,
because what we're seeing in the market at the moment
doesn't line up with reality, okay?
Look at the economic calendar.
Now, the US CPI numbers are by far and away the game today.
Right, you've got some key UK numbers.
Yes, by all means, check those out.
Manufacturing production numbers, a big favourite of mine.
But the main number will be the US CPI number.
Is it gonna clear up the noise that's in the market?
I just don't know, right?
Because I can't work out why everything's so skittish.
I know it's been a short week in the US, right?
That's one thing.
We've been, the market has been waiting
for this data all week.
This number here is what the Fed is looking at.
Now, weaker or stronger, we should see the dollar respond.
Ideally, what we're looking for
when this number does come out
is some sort of clear direction.
Now, if I come over to the daily charts,
this is where you can try and get some sanity
around what is actually going on here.
Because we have seen like Euro, Sterling,
Aussie didn't quite break up.
Kiwi had a little poke atop above.
But they're sort of retraced a bit.
And it's now, we are sort of in limbo
waiting for the answers as to where this thing goes, right?
ECB's come and gone.
They've said they've raised rates thinking of doing more.
But no one knows what's going on.
What we need is clear definitive data
from the today's numbers
to work out exactly what's going on.
So, you know what?
The forecast 3.4, the previous number was 3.4.
What we need is like a 3.2 or a 3.6
to really get it rocking, right?
Give us some ideas here around what's going on.
After that, you've got some University of Michigan
consumer sentiment numbers.
Christine Lagarde is also speaking.
But it's the CPI number.
I would not be trading pending orders
or anything like that on the number.
Wait, see what happens.
See what comes out, right?
If anything, you might want to see
what the reaction is afterwards
on the equity markets to sort of see
are we in the game here or not, right?
Because the equity markets
look a little bit sort of razzled for me.
The ranges, look at these ranges
that they've been trading in.
You think they're going somewhere
and the S&P looks like it is heading south.
That would line up with strong US CPI numbers,
but it's choppy.
The markets are choppy.
It's a little bit scary in the sense of
what the hell is going on, right?
There's this continuous discombobulation in the market,
all to do with US treasuries.
And I think Trump's come out,
he claims that he's going to dish out a trillion dollars
to American citizens, right?
Ahead of these elections.
It's the craziest thing I've ever heard.
All right, that's it for me.
Not clear, wait for the US CPI numbers is my tip.
I can't see a hell of a lot going on
in the lead up to the numbers.
And trading is not easy, right?
So I would be trusting the details here.
If I come back to the live signals page,
poor trading conditions.
If you see that at the moment,
just stand back, reduce your trade size
if you want to trade.
Right, one other update,
we have connected to schools, right?
This is, you're going to get an email with regards this.
It gives us a good mobile functionality
so you can access the courses
and a whole range of things with a good mobile app.
Okay, so check your emails,
log into schools before it becomes like a charged event.
And then it's going to be something we're testing.
It may actually end up replacing our Discord, right?
It's very organized, awesome sort of stuff.
Anyway, I'll give you more details on that later on.
Keep an eye on the signals.
Dollar Swiss going up.
Dollar Yen, the beast.
Well, it's sort of out of sync at the moment.
All right, that's where we are guys.
Have a good one.
All the best, cheerio.
