The Forex Trend Guide is a quantitative tool designed to identify the strongest and weakest currencies by analyzing long-term trends, price momentum, and interest rate expectations. By filtering out market noise and cross-referencing live signals with a \"Long-Term Score,\" traders can avoid low-conviction trades and focus on high-probability instruments for better capital allocation.
Okay, welcome guys.
Now, this session is all about the Forex Trend Guide, okay? Something
that I added to the site probably last week.
And I'll tell you what, it's something that is
a specific detail.
It's not going to take me very long to explain it to you,
and it's really going to give you the edge
on focusing on what to trade, right?
So the, and just to sort of separate it, right,
the live market analysis and signals is like
the live heartbeat of the market, right?
This is where all the action is.
And, you know, sometimes, you know,
whether market conditions change or what it might
be, sometimes you can sort of get led
into an instrument that may look like it's got
a good setup and that can change over the course of 15 or 20 minutes.
But what won't change is the trend, right?
the forex trend guide now this is a um i'm just rebooting my computer
so just bear with me they
had an unexpected sort of uh uh upgrade
and when it goes through this it does slow things down a
bit now the forex trend guide right you guys have probably looked
at this and wondered what was
going on um gav was asking me yesterday uh about
is blue buy red sell or is it blue strong red weak
right? This is more of a case of, especially this top section, right?
And I'll explain these four
tabs to you. This is more about strength and weakness,
not about buying or selling. But just
down here in the summary matrix,
that is definitely about buying and selling, right? So now one of the
things, right? Let me just give you the backdrop where
this sort of came from. Now, we're looking
at the markets all the time, right?
Morning, lunchtime, afternoon. Hopefully, you're not doing
all through the day. You'll be going a little bit crazy.
But a lot of the time, right, we've got all
these stats. And this is, especially for new traders,
they look at this page and go, man,
there's no way I'm going to understand what's going on here.
It's the matrix, right? Now,
you guys should know there's three parts here just
to give us confidence in the market conditions,
right whether they're correlating
or not risk on risk off makes trading easier right just
understanding the the relationship between the equity indices
then into the bonds and then or
interest rates and then into the major currency pairs now
on this side of the page right this is
our it's more of a visual
so you can sort of see what's going on right i can see like aussies
going pretty good against most things kiwi
the kiwi crosses uh majority majority of those is
sort of going up uh yen going down etc right
but you look at that and then you can't really see
you can't see the forest for the trees right
and i know we've got sort of week month to date
year to date sort of moves here
and so you can sort of have a look and you're trying to piece
is to get, okay, sterling's up 0.93% for the month.
Year to date, it's down 0.62. Yeah, great.
But once again, they're stats.
So what I was sort of looking for was a little bit more clarity around
what is actually happening with each of the instruments.
Can we actually gauge where they are
now? So I've got to say over 15 or 16 years,
I always get really keen traders who start building
their own Excel spreadsheets.
And what they do is they start going through all the US numbers,
right? They find all the US numbers,
and they keep a sort of tally and trying to work out,
you know, are the fundamentals overall strong or weak, right?
And that's, you know, there's a lot
of work in that. And, you know, AI these days,
you can probably do it a little bit better.
But, and this is where the interest rate tracker comes in, right?
The interest rate tracker is the
culmination of the fundamentals
and the core sort of interest rate market, how it moves tells us a
lot about what's going on in the market, right?
Fundamentally. And this goes a long way to the
trend, but we use it a lot more for trying
to determine if there is an announcement coming out,
say it's sterling and the numbers come out
and the hike is 96% factored in. Well, if the numbers
are strong, it's not going to go up far.
If the numbers are weak, there's a lot of unwinding to
be done. So that sort of gives us the edge on the actual release,
as well as giving us an overview.
If you're looking at the current rates,
the strength of a currency is generally based on
its interest rate, but it's not always right.
Aussies are 4.6, the Fed is at 3.8. You'd think
the Aussie would be at parity, but it's a long way from it.
So there's a lot of things in there.
Now, the Forex Trend Guide,
what I'm trying to do is put all those components together
and stick them in a honey jar, shake it up, see what comes out.
Now, when I originally built this,
I had the trend, the price, and the rates first,
and I had combined over here.
But probably one of the key numbers you'll look
at is the combined number.
Now, so this is the eight major currencies, right?
US dollar. They're not currency pairs.
And you'll see that the pairs are factored in.
It's the long-term score. And we're talking more daily charts.
So I know Ben has switched
to more of a daily trading activity.
And that's a pretty smart thing to do because it takes out
all the noise. The long-term score of the table ranks
on price structure weighted against
rate expectations. Okay.
So what that is, let me just, so the combined is a bit of a culmination
of these three things here. Okay. So let me just get on that.
So the trend, okay. And there's a
detailed explanation here, but I'll explain it to you.
The long-term direction, let me just
highlight that so you know exactly what I'm looking at.
The slope, and this is really around
my sort of IP of determining where, you know,
the long-term direction is, where it's going
and how aggressive it is.
The slope of the 100-day moving average, right?
The average trading range
normalized and read in degrees, right?
I base this off the level of degrees of that 100-day
moving average, right? You got to use something.
And this is exactly what we use for Primetime Pro.
So based on that, okay,
the yen is the strongest instrument, right?
And, you know, that's 67, right?
The dollar next, right?
So if the dollar and the yen are the two strong ones,
well, then your dollar-yen isn't going
to go far, right?
Because they're obviously against each other.
And then you've got sterling,
which is a bit of a standout at the moment, plus 38.
So this is sterling normalized against all the crosses as well.
CAD 12, Aussie minus 24, Euro, Kiwi, Swiss.
And it's not sort of uncommon.
You'd be looking at these two going,
because the Euro and Swiss are tied at the hip.
Now, Aussie and Kiwi are a little bit tied at the hip,
but they do separate sometimes.
Now, the price.
The long-term price action.
Trend, momentum, and distance from the long-term mean sort
of blended to give us an accurate
overall assessment of the price of the instrument.
Sterling is strong, then you've got CAD, Yen, Aussie, and so forth.
Now, the rates, well,
this sort of more reflects back to the interest rate tracker page where
The market prices each central bank path plus 21 days of repricing.
So there's a bit of forward guidance on here, right?
So what are they doing and what's the forward guidance?
And you'll see from the current moves,
like the UK employment was a little bit better.
And so was the CPI, just a fraction better as well.
They were largely factored into the market.
But it gives us a bit of a backdrop that sterling
is looking particularly strong on the rate side of things, right?
That's at 100, CAD is at 85,
and then it goes down to euro and yen at 12.
Right, so put the trend, the price,
and the rates into, as I said, the honey jar.
You get the long-term score, the table ranks, right?
So overall, if we are looking at the follow the trail,
you can't really see what's going
on.
So you come back to here, you'd be like,
what is the best instrument here?
Well, what's the strongest currency?
You see it on your charts, right?
And this is one thing that I was also sort
of getting a little bit like, well, it's hard
to actually see because I can see Sterling's going up here.
I can see Aussie's going up
and the Kiwi's joining the party and the CAD is going up
or dollar CAD is going down.
so that means CAD going up you're like well
which of these is the strongest you're like they all
look pretty uh pretty similar
so that's where i was trying to build something just to give me the
edge on what is going on and funnily enough i mean i just went over
that but what are the four pairs
i just mentioned sterling strongest cad next aussie kiwi
so this is very reflective of what's
going on your charts once you understand what you're looking at right
then it will become a bit
more of a tool for you to use i actually think
this is this is the secret sauce right that is
going to really so when you get
a signal you can actually cross-check that signal against the trend
um the trend guide
and go you know what this actually not only looks good it looks really
bloody good right now what is the what
are the terms mean off the pace you got off the front
and then he got weak mid and strong right
so down here you can actually see what's going on
so what the terms mean off the front strongest reading long-term trend
and momentum agree across
most of its seven pairs right it's not just looking
at the dollar right across seven pairs
the clearest most one-sided picture on the board okay
so that's that's what that is and the CAD is
basically in that boat.
Now, if you come in to look at the Aussie, then you've got, it's just
a strong, a clear positive lean,
but the seven readings do not all agree. So the picture is less
settled than off the front, right?
If I come back to here and you have a look, it's almost telling
you what's lining up and what's not.
All of them aren't lined up, right? So that's something to
be uh to keep to bear in mind
so and then obviously the mid no meaningful lean right
pretty neutral uh which is the dollar
at the moment uh weak a clear negative lean and then
you've got uh the weakest reading
so nothing's really absolutely terrible at the moment okay
so let's just come down here
to and then you've got sorry let me just finish that off the label
under the each score is how clear the picture
is not how far it will move right so just think
okay that's where it is right now it's it's it's gives you
the clear picture doesn't tell you how
far it's going to move a high score will make
with a mixed label is a weaker signal than a lower score
that all seven pairs agree on the number
on the far right is that score rescaled to 100 right
we had to scale it out of something obviously 100
is a is a good measure now bringing the data here
this all of these stats here into the summary matrix right
as i said this is like uh putting
it all together and there's two parts here
to make it easier i made a separate little heading here
the best trending instruments right now right euro
sterling uh down sterling swiss up euro cad down
uh cad swiss up euro aussie down now where do we get
that so this this table here you really need
to understand how to read it because you'll get lost in it.
Now, up here, let me just clear the
screen. Okay, the summary matrix.
Each cell is the rows currency score minus the column currencies.
Okay, so what that means is, let me just explain it in layman terms.
Right, so sterling, okay,
against the euro. So sterling is performing at 80 against the euro.
Okay, so what does that mean?
you would be buying sterling against euro right
that means the way the currencies are quoted
you would be selling euro sterling right
the other way to do it is so you've got these pairs
at the top here the columns sterling euro against sterling
is minus 80 right cad against euro is
minus 72 uh aussie against euro
is minus 54 okay so that'd
be buy aussie euro right so and that's
sort of the same way across the other side
so what you can do is just look up um where are we
okay so i'm just losing my train can i ask you a question just
while you're on that just a few
minutes ago we we got a um an alert a level two alert
the aussie kiwi um a level two uh trend
building how would we incorporate what you're saying
on this um um trend guide how would we
sort of incorporate that signal that came through well
that's a good one because this is that's a
really good question steven because have a look at this right
so just on the on the merits of
where the instrument is in relation
to the bull bear pivot lines on the hourly and daily you can
actually come back through here
and go Aussie uh against the Kiwi it's plus eight right you're
thinking well jesus the the really big pairs
that have got really clear direction that that are over
here are sort of more in the plus 48 plus 54 plus
80 right you're like well can i quantify this this
signal plus eight you're like that isn't it's like
so it looks like the signal lines up but does it
have a really strong drive not really does
that make sense yeah it does you can see that
whoa whoa one at a time there fellas a little good man
um just regarding that Aussie uh Kiwi
you can see that live signal it just came through
on the platform yep yep so where it says it's a
level two uh trend and momentum momentum aligned trend
is building one zone confirms and one
remains neutral so when we come across
to your um forex trend guide like you just said we're only at
plus eight so really does that negate the live signal
in the sense that we just have to just
hold on well it doesn't negate it this is where you you get
to use your own sort of subjective
opinion so what what i'm trying to do is is give you
the like the real clues in as to where the
best trends are at the moment right
so this could be something that you would keep like track of
steven and go you know what aussie kiwi yeah it keeps coming up like
so basically what could
happen let me just come get the chart up here
because this is this is perfect right as in
the sense of trying to sort of quantify exactly what's going
on we're trying to sort of narrow
things down to get a better angle right
and sometimes just get this okay so we're sort of
getting close to a buy signal.
It's just, I mean, the bull bear pivot line is still going slightly
up. This one's going up. So I can sort of see where the buy signal is,
but you might be thinking,
well, this is, okay, it's sort of like just below
the bull bear pivot line, but the bull bear pivot
line is sort of still going up.
It might be a question mark over that. You're like, yeah,
I'm not sure that this is where I would sort of come back through.
And if you do have time,
do this and you come back through
because if you've got aussie and against the kiwi well
aussie's plus eight it's like it's
not amazing right what i'm trying to get you to do is build
your own framework around the forex trend guide
this is your cross check um you know i can call
this a whole range of different things the actual heading
um i could call it the signal cross check
but you know it's the forex trend guide
so the so for that one there steven what i was sorry trying
to get to i was just losing my train of thought
is you have a look at that and keep a tally
actually i could probably do it on my um actually well
if you were to pick a pair there right with
the really good numbers can you then go back to the meta stock
and show us how it appears on the
actual um on the chart are you able to do that like
when you have a look here when you're comparing
one against the other for strength versus weakness yeah yeah
so what do you so what do you want to
look at like aussie kiwi so if you if you were to pick
on that uh yeah on the trend guide you pick
two uh currency pairs um you know one obviously weaker
and one stronger so then whichever one
you'd see there that sticks out
and then let's have a look at the chart here yeah and just overlay
it so we can see what the uh price action how
that represents the uh the plus and the minus in the
uh trend guide good man good man okay check out
this one okay euro sterling yeah there we go this
is a that is like you're looking at that going holy ----
that's nasty that's like going right
and and you'd be thinking how did i not get
on that the uh euro sterling is by far and away
the best so you can look at that right
and that has an 80 reading right all right yeah okay that
has an 80 you look at aussie kiwi
and i mean we're sort of we're at odds and ends here like uh
you're really sort of getting picky you're like yeah it's
not like that doesn't 100% going up to
me just yet if anything the bull bear pivot line's going up
that's why it's we're going to book the
buy signal but the price is sort of just drifting down right
if we had to over analyze it this thing
here i'd be pretty comfortable with that but then you're like
so you look at that right that's an
eight versus an 80 or a minus 80 I bet
this is like like if I walked in someone and said okay
a downtrend is an instrument that's going down check
these two out what do you is that going
down like everyone would say yeah
that's going down yeah does it does that answer your question
there Steven or not yes yeah it does
so with that and you're looking at the price action you've got
confirmation on the daily um would
that be something you'd put trendline trader in play
or PrimeTime Pro well you can diversify
and use a bit of both right so if you put um trendline
trader in play you can actually go with a bigger trade size I think
because it's got a very unique
it's got it's super accurate and it will only trigger
when everything is perfect right so you
can actually go with a good size I actually would in this regard
because it's actually trending
so well you could be using both one
on two different charts definitely PrimeTime Pro
right it is just looking yeah it just looks amazing right the yes
so coming back to this
right and then then you can sort of piece it together
so what I would be looking for and this
is once again uh confirmation where you can actually confirm
the signals and and so generally
speaking when I look at the say the active alerts
of what's coming up I don't execute all of them
uh not for a long shot right so we put these things come up
and then what I'm sort of generally
saying to you previously is okay
so you've got an Aussie Kiwi there right signal and the then
you're looking at the chart
and you're like yeah okay i can see there's a a little um you know
support line here this is the widow maker too
by the way i was saying that the other day it's a
nasty bastard but um and that was the kiwis it used
to call that because you think those two
countries so close would be doing similar things
but you sort of have a look here and i'm like
yeah okay it's come down it is sort of coming back we
do have a support trend line here like
this is what i would be doing without the 4x trend guide
and probably with with it as well and
i'm like okay so yeah it's got the structure potential
to keep going up that's when i would
sort of come in and go, all right,
this is why it's part of the ultra program, which all of you
guys have actually access to, right?
And from here, you know what? It's like looking at the
signals and getting the answers.
I can actually come down here and go, yeah, let me just do a
quick check here, Aussie Kiwi.
And you may have in your own personal selection process going,
you know what? I don't do any signals that are under 50, right?
This is one way to sort of work
it out right you might be going anything
so up up in this corner and over here these are the ones
you probably want to be sort of focusing
on so you can filter the the signals using the forex
trend guide does it make sense yep about the rest
of you guys everyone understand what what's
happening here yes yep yeah i find um trades
that are floating around the bull bear pivot line
are um a 50 50 at best and i usually kick them out
and it's been working for me so far lately
and that's uh that's a really good call right
because that's exactly like i look at this and
i hadn't looked at aussie kiwi
and i've got the my um prime time pro actually executing the aussie
kiwi i'm actually the same going you know what i get to choose
when i trade that is not awesome
right it's it could be a line baller you could
be just getting into it this this sucker here
this is now i'm i'm getting excited bull bear pivot line going down
and if i just got a little
bit uh smarter i could draw a trend line in here
and you're like holy ---- balls this thing's about
to get over over bought i know it's
a little bit oversold here see how it's just drifting that's
it's not doing too much
The overall trend is down.
I'm like, look, that is so different to Aussie Kiwi, right?
And we're trying to put our good cash onto good opportunities, right?
And I don't want to, like, sort of jinx anyone,
but Gab is on a 16-winning streak, right?
It's like the commentator's curse, but you're doing a great job.
And you know what, Gab,
doing that without even having the summary matrix,
this is actually here not as it like you know i've seen sites
and i've seen things i get sent a lot
of stuff a lot of it's like gimmicky right like financial source
who actually do provide some of
the they've got a news service
and then they've got all this other crap i've told them like all
your fundamental stuff and everything else is just
a gimmick it doesn't actually help you this is not
a gimmick it's actually going to give you clear direction
so if you look at what's going on
quickly you come back to the screen especially after a day
or two you haven't been looking at
things. You're like, okay, out of all the currencies,
what's strong? And you're like,
okay, sterling, CAD, right? That's enough.
I'll go and have a look at those two. Or what's really
weak? And these two working together,
this is where you can sort of tie everything together. Euro and
Swiss, right? They are equal, one of the same, right?
You look at that. If I see those two doing
the same thing, I'm like, markets are good.
This is good, right? Then you can sort of have a look and get
the strong ones. So there's a lot
of different ways you can use the data to sort of interpret
different things. Underneath, I've got the general relative strength.
That's neither here
nor there. It's just more information.
Now, that's not a gimmick, but that's not going to
help you as much as all of this stuff.
I'm just trying to show you where we're getting the data
from. So that's what the Forex Trend Guide is.
Once I sort of built it, put it all together,
And then I was like, exactly what you were doing there, Stephen,
which is super smart.
How could, like, what does it look like?
What does an 80 look like compared to an eight, right?
You guys see that?
I mean, an eight, you can actually start to see here.
This actually, this does look like an eight compared to something
that is really stepping it out of the park, which is a Euro sterling,
which is just definitely going down.
That's where it is, right?
So you've already got me thinking, right?
I was going to say to you guys, like, have your own sort
of rule check around the alerts.
But I'll tell you what I'm going to do straight after this.
I'm going to build in here on the signals some sort of,
if I can get a column in here, and put in there the trend.
Yeah, like I'll give you the strength or the number,
then you'll know, right?
Yeah, nice.
What do you think about it?
Yeah, it kept the words out of my mouth.
I was trying to say that before.
That's great.
Just put that big eight on that thing that flicks up
that Steve was talking about.
Yeah, well, Kev, I could just feel that in your voice
when you were...
No, that's good.
But this is actually, like, I was pretty...
There's one more thing I would like to add,
if I can do that.
I mean currently Euro, uh, Euro GBP is it's
been stuck on it all night and that is stuck on
on a very strong support
and that's why it's hanging in but this is really good to see the
strength is still there so potentially sooner
or later it could break through you never know of
course is there anything else that this is just
a wild yap here is there any other strength
weakness thing that you could put in here
that would you know like your trends your friend until
it disappears until it ends what is there around
or that tells you that the trend is ending like
that could be built into this uh i know you're gonna smile at me
but you know at the end of the
day it's everybody's dream
but should never put it aside we should be saying what if we could
find this what if we could find
that one well there's different things in here right so there's
there's a hundred different EA's in here
that's what i mean you've got to come back to the core
structure you can always go and research
and do some stuff like in the MetaStock there is trend
strength but what is trend strength it could be any one
of these sorts of things right uh directional
movement average directionally like there's i
don't even know what half of these things are
and if you go through the full spectrum
of um analysis tools i've got one i've got one in my
head if i could pop it out to you sure uh last night it
was a good example of GBP um USD and it
was trending like like we had a good run up
and then it uh you know when it does the pullback
okay yep um and you generally if you go down to the to the you know one
and two minute thing and
you watch that for a while you start to see
the signals there that will give you the um you know
that the clue, start to give you clues that you're ending
that upwards push.
So if there's something there, I've noticed it quite a bit,
you know, I could map it out for you, but it starts to give you that.
Now, surely we can get the computer to tell us rather
than anybody staring at the screen.
What I'm trying to say is we could take out,
that was a really good example, both Euro and the other one,
but just picking the moment to take that money off the table,
wait for the retrace, you know what I mean?
That's, I believe, everybody's dream to be able to do that.
Well, it's, you know, the one- or two-minute time frame to me
does not give a true indication of what's going through the market.
I know it's like transactions.
It's what is happening on the hourly time frame
that everyone professionally is looking at is where the difference is
because then, but if it works for you, it works for you.
I'm not going to change that.
I'm painting a picture of how you could,
I'm not saying I want to stare at the one and two
I know what you're saying
but there's got to be a way
of the signal, you've given
us now the signal of strength
great, now what about
in that, is there a way
of determining the
you know, when you take
that piece out of the market
because everybody's hate, including
me last night, where
you're going
I should have took that damn thing off the table
but I was not there at the time.
Now, I'm not sure that Primetime Pro does it.
If it does do it, great.
I'm going to keep learning that thing to see whether it will take it
off the table.
But what is making it take it off
the table anyway is what I want to know.
What does PrimeTime Pro do in behind the scenes?
Well, the funny thing is this just isn't obvious enough, right?
So the active alerts, I actually had short-term
and long-term status still on this page because it should tell
you if you're long and it gets into a um overboard situation
then you would be using this to manage
the position well that's all right when it's in the overboards
though Brad but it's not always in
that position where it does the pullback
no that that's right my god i'm saying if you can focus
on that bit i mean i don't know how many times over my career
so far where you go i've got a
good number up here i could take that off
the table wait for it to retrace go back in uh you
You know, it's everybody's frigging nightmare or positive
if we can find that little gem now that you've got the strength
and weakness thing hanging on, you know.
You should never say it's impossible
because look at what you've built so far.
Oh, no, that's right.
No, that's right.
I'm thinking even on the short-term
and long-term status, it's not obvious.
To me, it is.
If I was looking at that, then I'd be like, if I'm long
and I'm getting – it's overbought, let's be like square up.
Now is the time to square up.
um i'll work on that today um does can i ask
this one more question does the PrimeTime Pro
take it out yes it does
but it doesn't take it out if it's not in that area is that correct
no that's right well there's
two things you can use
um let me just come back okay i'm gonna okay
let me just go to 4.5 i call it 4.5 i think everyone else is 4.4
so what you've got here
in the settings is okay
and i think i set them up as default okay exit on momentum pivot change
right that's usually
when the momentum changes and it can be right
so if i was so what you can
actually set it up to do so say you're
um you're getting long here this is actually one where you
might get taken out too early like this one here well
that's gone straight up um oh here's one like
Where it goes down
and where it's not necessarily oversold
or anything, but where momentum has checked, right?
It's gone from selling, selling, selling.
It's gone back to, okay, there's something happening.
This is like a square up signal is what we call it.
I mean, it's a pivot change.
That's where it would square up.
You can actually have that set up.
Sometimes in good trending markets, I wouldn't have it on
because you sometimes get that, but the trend will sort of dominate.
So you've got exit on momentum pivot change.
I've set it to true
Exit on reversal arrow at the extreme.
So that's the other side of it, whereas you get into a trade long here
and it's either executing on the pivot change above the oversold
or at the very worst selling before it goes back down
So you've got two things in there
because it's like having –
I know what you're getting at and it's an ideal situation
to have wherever it stalls, but you want it to make sure
it stalls properly because otherwise you end up
leaving cash on the table, is trying to get
that perfect scenario all the time.
Markets aren't perfect.
I'm doing the best I can as far as get that signal
to manage the position as best we can.
So that's where it is there, Kev, but this is,
until sort of I'm told, right, this is like a good thing
because I look at that, that's all about position management
where instead i could see that being
a lot better saying okay you're long it'd be like stay there'll
be i'll change it there'll be a thing here saying stay long
or square up i'll tell you what comes to
my mind just as one thing there is because i
when i'm reading the charts it's basically coming down
you get your changes of course is when where it sits on your support
or vice versa resistance
and if it's strong that's where it'll sit
so i mean if we could fire your your signals across
to looking at the charts in that regard
then that that's a good example of exactly in that
zone somewhere in that zone it's going to uh
if you know it's not strong enough it's going to sit
on that and do the reversal
and that's pretty obvious how it works but uh there's there's got
to be that can pick yeah yeah i'm sort of i'm sort
of the reason there's another one thing and then
i'll shut up about it if you chuck your chart
on claude it automatically tells you you how many
touch points that you've got along that line
or in that zone because you know it's not a line it's a
zone uh and very interesting last night i
was looking at you know how you were doing the trend
trader and how it has a trend either side
of the main main line yeah i think you said 12 which was
pretty accurate it was doing 12 either side last night there nicely
on those two so it could
possibly work with you know look you look to the left on say four hour
or a day would be better
but four hour at least and see okay how many how many how many
um touch points do we have is this
Is this a point where it actually does move,
like does the turn, you know,
because that's what happens in real life if you're looking at charts.
Yeah, we just don't know when it's like you could have like we had
Dollar CAD must have had 10 touches.
And can you predict when it's
which one of those 10 it's going to break?
No, I'm talking horizontal here.
I'm not talking you're putting the horizontal into it now.
Okay.
Well, that's something I don't do all the time.
No, but if Claude can do it, you can make it.
the ai pick up on that and say okay we've got
a really strong horizontal trend line here you don't
have to do it it's the machine will
do it okay we'll give it a try that's what i'm saying we've
tried a lot of different things with ai
and i can tell you it's a ******* basket case the uh it's
good on research analysis giving you information
and data you try and get it to trade and uh you'll
Well, that is the research you're doing.
You're just getting it to research that line, you know,
and then transfer it back to you to say, okay,
we have a strong potential here of a hold-up and a reversal, you know.
Well, I guess if you're getting it to do your analysis,
that could be one thing.
Brad, can I ask you a question regarding Pepperstone?
You often say we should draw our own trend lines as well,
but in the um coding and you've already got trend lines that appear
when you put PrimeTime Pro on
oh yeah with mechanics yeah yeah so do we
then need to are you saying we should add our own
indicators on top of that or well i just
or just leave it out i'm happy with what you've got there
like it just shows like i'm looking at well
this would be a good example Steven like um you know
there's some trend lines here showing you what's going
on but i could see an obvious one that would
be you know so from this low uh okay
so my the next question regarding the coding that's in the
EA if we draw other trend lines it does not impact the uh execution
or the properties of
okay cool you got it man you got it yeah
so all that the the uh bull bear pivot line yellow on
the hourly um is coded into the properties
and same with that uh trend line that's there we're
looking at the euro sterling at the moment
on the hourly you'll see you've got the bull bear pivot
line uh price actions below it
but above that you've got your red um trend line which is obviously
built into the coding so my question
is if we add other trend lines it doesn't interfere with any
other uh of the execution side of it all right perfect
um yeah that's good so just just to come
back to it guys the uh now you've got
if you've got questions around this and there'll be a bunch
of traders especially the UK guys
that will have questions around what we've got i hope i hit video
record i think i did the um but this is a just just i mean i've got
a bit of homework to do
as far as tech go because i can see the benefit here
of getting a signal and like getting a
and a signal on the signal that's a really good thing right
that's going to help everyone because
If I could put one more thing across it, if I may, you could,
while you're talking tech, just two,
they are basically two lines crossing.
For a visual, you might like to do a cross, a two-line cross thing.
You can actually go into indicators and get this stuff off indicators.
It's almost identical to what you're talking about here,
but it's actually a visual in a two-line cross on top of a zero line.
So there's a zero line horizontal.
Like plotting the strength or weakness of the instruments
against each other, like a visual chart?
Yeah, it's a line.
Just they cross each other, okay?
Yeah, I'll think about it.
Just go into indicators and you can find plenty of them.
Whether they're accurate is another thing with what's on there,
but it does do a pretty good job of it, okay?
But if you just get the idea, if you know what I mean.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
So one more thing, Brad, just regarding the trend lines,
If people need help then putting the trend lines on MetaStock,
we could then come to the Pepperstone chart,
look at your coded trend lines and then put them on MetaQuote
so we'd get the exact same trend lines.
Is that a fair point?
Yeah, you can.
I would actually, instead of like copying them over, right,
so I do 99% of my analysis on MetaStock, right?
So I would actually, this is the only thing that you have to do.
and you know a lot of us have got time in front
of the screens you don't have to like i don't want
you spending all day there
but this is as i said like just get some tunes on and you guys like
coffee anyone like coffee i'm a bit of a junkie
the mt5 charts aren't as accurate either oh no
the pricing isn't either um so that's something to bear in mind
because you want it accurate see
And see how I do it instinctively
in the sense if I'm off by one little bar,
I will go into it and make sure it's right.
So if I turn the tunes on and have a coffee, you know,
I'm just going through the charts.
And then what I would do then, Stephen,
is you've got your Euro sterling.
I would come back to my other one and just check the lines and go,
oh, yeah, that sucker's already drawn.
There it is there.
Yeah, that's sort of what I was getting to.
Yeah, yeah.
um and obviously i mean you got that bull bear pivot line now too
which is red when it's going
down yellow when it's or blue when it goes up yellow
when it goes down this thing is just
looking uh the more you look at it
the more i'm pissed off like how good is this trade here yeah
okay i mean that's on that's on trade mode
not because if you had that on sell with uh
auto trade with bull bear pivot line it wouldn't have executed there
because it's above the bull
bear pivot line but i tell you what
that's uh you know what actually this is a hairy hindsight
because you look at this and what i'm saying
is like sometimes you go oh yeah that would have
been such an easy trade but i'm like okay
so i mean you can draw trend lines anywhere but this
is sort of broken back this is a real clean out
so i can't really say i mean would have been great
obviously in hindsight to be getting short there
but um you got to be realistic when you look at
situations and you miss opportunities be realistic
and you come back and go oh no that's above the
bull bear pivot line it looks like it's about
to shoot to the top side stops pivots and then goes
down so anyway what if this isn't realistic wouldn't you put
the parameters of sell only
on that particular trade you you are a joy
to train you are spot on dude you are spot on
do not get clever only sell you save yourself a whole heap of grief
and you know what you've got
opportunities in the market that are not going
to trigger if it doesn't line up steven that's a
that's a perfect mate and one last thing um just regarding
your bull bear pivot line on your hourly
is that um the latest uh primetime pro
because um like i didn't realize that it's a red when it's
going down and a yellow when it's sort of neutral
and then obviously blue would be if it's uh in an
uptrend is that how you've coded it you got it dude
so i'll get you uh i'll get you the latest
that's right whatever no problem
that's mr sniper's idea oh okay yeah well he did all right
he was talking about the widow maker actually
it's Mr Sniper yeah so that's Ben right that's
Ben's uh he Ben's from uh South Africa mate he's uh he's
a bit of a tech guy so like it just it
just for me like i was trying to do this for ages
and Ben sort of uh put up his thing and i sort of
thought you know what that's good all i need was the drive to go
and do it you can see like it just
it's just an easy visual everything uh coming back
to what you were saying there Kev with the
um charts like visually if you can see things visually like
a chart with the lines crossing
over whatever it might be then that's that's if it's a benefit what i
also love about Mr Sniper
he's gone for colors and colors are a wonderful thing it
your brain works on colors it doesn't
work on figures yeah that's right there he is yeah
the uh Ben's been around for a while mate he's uh
he's good reach out to him listen
to what he's got all right guys thanks for that uh any questions
very good this is very good Brad very very good
this thing well that's good i'll be after some
good testimonials from you guys all right guys appreciate
the time i think this is this is i
think like seriously i think this right
and even going through it with you guys confirms that
even more this is going to be such an invaluable tool
that's why it's like ultra right so there's
two levels here you guys have got it all
but looking at that signal and going eight so what
i'm going to be i should be able to do is go
this is going to be i don't know well kev you hit the
spot if it's it's not impossible right i could probably build
this into the ea right so i choose
the the size of the signal
and go you know what i want to trade aussie kiwi but i only want to
trade it if the signal's above 40
or 50 just something about the kiwi we've got news on the
kiwi you see here so i mean you shouldn't reject
that because now the news overlays it today about
another hour's time yeah yes the uh cpi we got yep uh
that just just be careful with this bastard
too it isn't it's nasty mate the um because there's
because what happens with most currencies
like liquidity pulls out of the market there used
to be only like four major banks there and they
would be and they would pull all the liquidity
so what that means is there's there's a price
at the market but it will only cover like
0.1 whereas usually it would cover like
say 100 lots so then you think there's prices there
but there isn't any so but this will be
good for the crosses and afterwards right
because there's only a couple of numbers that come out of
new zealand and what else would i be looking
at for that steven um so i'm sorry i was i was looking
at something else what was the question uh we got
cpi coming out what else should we consider um
CPI yeah, Kiwi CPI coming out yeah, let's have
a look, no no, it's on the screen, we've got an 80%
chance of a hike right, like yeah okay, longer
numbers it'll go up, it'll go up a bit because
it's only at 80, weaker numbers
this thing could uh really fall out of bed because they'll unwind
that okay right, okay so what's your expectation
is when that news hits, if it does, if there is a
hike wouldn't it be already factored in that yeah
that's what i'm saying, if we get strong CPI numbers
the market is largely factoring in a hike anyway right
so but 80 is not like a 96 like we see in
sterling, so sterling won't go up much
on the strong numbers here, 80 it's still got a bit of a way to
go so you might see something there right okay
yeah unwind means Brad, just the unwind let me
play what i think you mean by unwind, you you use
a few things that we don't, i don't necessarily
understand so unwind means if the figures come out
and it's the dead opposite to where it's
going then you're going to have the trade go in the opposite direction
and that's the unwind you're
talking about that's it okay beautiful all right
well there's some good, there's some good charts
on the EUR New Zealand, if it winds backwards down the hill,
there's a good one right there.
Well, that's good.
Gets you focused.
All right, guys.
Excellent.
Great trend line.
I like it.
You know, this actually would get me a little bit more excited
about looking at the Kiwi numbers because if the numbers do come
out really weak, then we've got a trend line.
That's a bit of liquidity there to get into.
Outside of that, trying to buy it on strong numbers,
there's like nothing up here.
It's hard.
There's nothing on the charts to buy anyway.
It's all sitting on the trend line.
All right.
All right.
All right, guys.
Thanks for joining me.
I'll get this up.
I'm going to get to work on some of these things
because they are progressively building a better system.
Yeah, absolutely.
Awesome.
What if we can?
That's how you live your life, mate.
What if you can when you're a programmer?
That's how I lived my life for 45 years.
What if I could do this and we made it happen
where the bloke said you couldn't.
I said, get stuff.
What if we could?
All right, guys.
Good work.
See you later.
Thanks, guys.
See you later.
