Well that's very kind. I am back to work after summer vacation and before...
Let the man talk. The crowd went wild when Jimmy Kimmel returned from break on Tuesday,
September 8th. It was Jimmy Kimmel Live's 4,000th episode. Whoa! And according to page six sources,
this season will be Kimmel's last. An insider familiar with the situation explained that
the longtime host contract is not getting extended after 24 years on the air.
The current season wraps up May 2027. But before you pour one out for Jimmy,
a spokesperson for ABC Entertainment told us,
this information is inaccurate. Any reports about the future of the show at this point
are purely speculative. Kimmel takes pride in signing year-to-year deals,
which are rare in showbiz. This allows him unusual flexibility. Surprisingly,
insiders say the outspoken liberal host's exit, quote, wouldn't have anything to do with Trump,
despite their antagonistic relationship. Our TV insider says Disney's new boss,
Josh DiMauro, has been offering veteran executives early retirement packages
as part of restructuring and cost-cutting across the company. On top of that, he's,
quote, not afraid of the Trump administration and isn't folding under political pressure.
The Mouse House just sued the FCC last month, accusing it of attacking ABC's free speech
by requesting to review the network's broadcasting licenses earlier than usual.
Coincidentally, this came one day after Rosie O'Donnell debuted as a celebrity guest host
on August 17th. The former daytime diva crushed it during her four-night run.
It was a ratings and viral hit. A source told us the former co-host of The View was in her element.
So, could Rosie be taking over come fall 2027? Here's what we reported last month.
And if you, the president, hated Jimmy Kimmel Live when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel,
She's back! Former daytime diva Rosie O'Donnell was pretty in pink for her big return to TV
after fleeing the U.S. following the 2024 election. The comedian is guest-hosting
Jimmy Kimmel Live for four nights, August 17th through the 20th. And of course,
the famously liberal comedian wasted zero time reigniting her decades-long feud with Donald Trump.
You know, I've been living in Ireland for the past two years
because of Mango Mussolini. Hi, I know you're watching.
Kimmel's audience ate it up. This comes nearly a year after ABC suspended the liberal host
over major conservative backlash. Cut to June 18th of this year,
he went on a voluntary two-month summer break with celebrity guest hosts filling in.
Last week on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast, O'Donnell credited POTUS for her
boost. Take a look. Meanwhile in June on Truth Social, Trump claimed O'Donnell was
obsessed with him. Their feud goes way back, long before Trump got into politics.
The two outspoken native New Yorkers traded barbs in 2006 and 2007 while O'Donnell was
a co-host on The View. He called her a stone-cold loser. Before that, O'Donnell was a beloved actress
bringing comic relief to flicks like Sleepless in Seattle and A League of Their Own. Hosting
a talk show? That's nothing new for her, either. The Rosie O'Donnell Show aired on daytime TV
from 1996 to 2002, where she was dubbed the Queen of Nice, shooting koosh balls into the crowd,
and crushing on movie star Tom Cruise. In 2002, O'Donnell publicly came out as gay
during the final season of the show. The mom of five recently revealed that she
got the word they tattooed on her wrist in honor of her youngest kid. Born Dakota,
the 13-year-old now goes by Clay and came out as non-binary in 2024.
O'Donnell's ink is written in Clay's own handwriting.
