Bottoms stays on the campaign trail for Labor Day

Georgia Democrat candidate for Governor Keisha Lance Bottoms is back on the campaign trail today. Lance Bottoms joined members of the Georgia AFL-CIO to celebrate Labor Day. The group recently endorsed Bottoms for governor. The event honored the contributions Georgia workers have made to the state and Bottoms used it as an opportunity to discuss her plans to expand Medicaid and protect workers rights. We want to take advantage of whatever is left on the table and it's going to help us cover men and women throughout the state and it will also help us with our health care system that's teetering on the edge right now because even if you don't need the Medicaid when you go into an emergency room, many people they are there because they're not receiving routine health care. Republican Rick Jackson did not have any public events listed on his website but on Facebook he posted this Labor Day message quote Georgia believes in the dignity of work and Georgians prove it every single day by working hard providing for their families and loved ones and moving our state in the right direction. They deserve a government that works just as hard as they do.
